I'll be using this topic to keep you updated on the progress. Here's the current things I'm working on. Things to do: - Modify the profile page to allow you to choose if you want to enable the addon or not.
- Add an option to the profile to skip your posts when others with the addon enabled are viewing a topic.
- Adding Netscape/Mozilla compatibility.
I'll have to make an alternate script for Mozilla to handle. But I don't plan on doubling the size of the script. Instead I want to make the script into a short detection function that will do a test to determine what browser the user is using. The test doesn't care what "name" the browser has. All that matters is how it interprets html (something Internet Explorer and Mozilla do differently). From there, it will choose one of two scripts (IE or Mozilla) that is compatible with and load only the necessary script to function. There's no need to load both in the same page. Also the script may be preloaded for loading times even faster than now! To learn more, go to www.techsonic.net/xfox/test.htm. It's important that I know what browsers can and can't Insert external scripts based on conditions. I'll be updating this topic and that page as I go along, so check back here after awhile .

I tried the test, and it works with IE 5.5.

Good work. That's one more down. It's IE 5.0 that I have my doubts with. But splitting (requires IE 5.5) is already used in the Battle Cards so it wouldn't matter that much. But for future addons it's still important
