Okay, so, my Creative Zen Micro died on me two months ago, and well, I need a new MP3 player. I decided to bite the bullet and aim for a Zune, as I don't want to run the risk of another Zen dying on me a year down the road. So, I've got a question or two for y'all. How exactly can the Zune record TV? Do I just point it at a TV and tell it to record whatever it sees, or does it work like recording on a tape? (Minor sarcasm for the former there, but that would be awesome if that's how it worked) Also, what movie files does the Zune support, like .avi, .wmv, etc.? Also, I've read that the Zune has a "user profile", what's that about?

Well, I don't think you can record TV directy to a Zune, but I don't know, I just got a new iPod so I know more about those, but you want a Zune. ANYWAY, I work with a lot of Video so I know about it and I can tell you that I don't think many MP3 players are easy to get video onto. Most need the video file to be an mp4 file, but you can get a video converter. One more thing about about recording TV, I think you can record TV with a TV tuner, and they aren't very expensive, but, again, I don't have a TV tuner so I don't really know about them.

I never did that with my Zune yet, cause I dunno how. As for video formats, I can help there, it supports wmv and I believe mp4 and the iTunes format. No it doesn't domany types, but there are wmv converters. No user profile really, just a name for your Zune(mine's named Marik), it's just to know what Zune it is when you plug it into a PC or 360.
