I personally think that WAY too many sites are not using valid HTML, and that there are not nearly enough sites or site designers that use XHTML. Things like HTMLGear.com that use HTML 4.01 (that isn't usually valid either) don't help much either, because then everyone will be using their horrible code. (I say HTMLGear.com because I know they use HTML 4.01, but I do not know the status on the validity of their code, so don't quote me on that.)

Yes, but thats not the only problem. some people are stuck with free hosts like me so if you want to validate it its impossible because you have some ad that was sloped together sitting on your page. By the way can anyone tell me how you host off of your own computer. I have a DSL connection so I think it would work. oh and is this good enough specs for a hosting spot for my site. 368 PC 133 Ram 19 gig harddrive 1.24 Ghz AMD Athlon Windows XP home edition, yes I know about appache. I just need help on how to set up on how to do it.

Some people don't know that you can validate your HTML at the W3C website. Those specs look fine for hosting, the DSL connection might slow you down a bit, but you don't need broadband for everything. As for hosting off your own computer... You might need to do something like CGI (common gateway interface), I'm not totally sure. For now, I just stick with using free hosting spots until I can get my own server up and running... When I get my own server and running, I'll give you free hosting though ! Without the ads... You could always try and remove the ad from the source and then validate it.
