So i read this AMAZING thing last night. I know that Marik will be interested in this. www.el33tonline.com/main/show_news/3753 You can read about it there. "Feb. 16 Doors open at 3 p.m. Orpheum Theater 842 S. Broadway Los Angeles, CA 90014 Feb. 23 Doors open at 2 p.m. Ten15 Folsom 1015 Folsom St. San Francisco, CA 94103 March 1 Doors open at 3 p.m. Worcester Polytechnic Institute Olden Hall 100 Institute Road Worcester, MA 01609 March 8 Doors open at 5 p.m. Best Buy (NOHO) 622 Broadway New York, NY 10012 " So March 1st, I want to go to WPI, and say "i'm here to kick ass and play video games, and I'm all out of ass" Hah, that would be great. So Marik, on March 1st, a Saturday you should make a trip up to Worcester, go to WPI, and participate in the tournament. I wish that I could go to this, but my mom was like "haha no."

What day is March 1st... ooh Saturday. Me and my friends were thinking about it. I just might go.
Just don't forget that, and this goes for any of the 4 tourneys, it's first come, first serve basis. Only 256 participants are allowed to enter in it.
I hope to see you there Sam and reply the only way I can:
"When I'm through with you, you'll have to take a shower to wash away the smell of defeat. And I wont be watching you do it"

I wish I could go, but I know I won't be able to. Even if I did drive, I would be too scared to go. I don't want to go on the highway, and I have no idea how to get anywhere using back roads.
So I won't be going sadly. I'll be there in Spirit. lol

Some states count you as a minor until you're 19, 20 or 21 I believe.

I'd imagine if they don't let minors compete.

The ability to swear on top of my lungs will give a big advantage, glad no ankle-biters will attend. They'd prob kick my ass anyway.

I'm happy that ALL GameStops that are doing a midnight opening for Smash are doing tourneys. They are only using Wiimote/nunchuk combo provided by the store.
Also heres some rules for the big one we're talking about Regional Tournaments will be organized and executed using a standard bracket process of single elimination. Tournament brackets will be determined by order of registration beginning with the first registered participant. Each of the 256 registered entrants will compete in head-to-head stock matches with only Nintendo provided controllers on the Battlefield stage with all items on, players only playing with the starting roster characters with default rules, which are set to medium.
GameStop is using the same rules for theirs too. So expect for this tourney to use Wiimote/nunchuk.

We should have a TAMB tournament as soon as enough people here get the game.

Oh and I must update on the tourney. Due to snow, I couldn't go, so I did something else, not knowing everything cleared earlier than expected. I'm rather pissed, but bumped into some old friends today who did. Their opinion was that classic controller(which I guess was the format) sucks. As well as Final Smashes were either ridiculously overpowered (Sonic, Link) and some completely useless (Ice Climbers, Kirby, Metaknight).
And sure, a TAMB tourney is def a good idea, since the majority of active members have Wiis and are anxious for the game.

All of the active members have Wiis... For the record, I never got one, but chances are that I'll be buying one for my mother on her birthday, so I'll probably borrow it when she's not using it.

Ironic, your mom has the wii, mine took my copy of brawl T-T. I turned in some late homework and until it is entered, i cannot play.

Not quite, I meant that I will (or at least should) be giving it for her as a birthday gift in a month or so.
