Finally, I played the game 'cuz my sister refused to play it. My biggest beef with the game is the voice actors. They all sounded terrible, except for the leader of the Black Arms(sorry I can't remember his name). As for gameplay, I found myself wasting my lives on glitches and cheap deaths. The guns and vehicles add a bit of spice to the gaming experience, but it felt like playing another Sonic game.

you must have Verson 1.0 of the game then, as verson 1.1 has most glitches fixed, Also, whats so bad about the voice actors?everyone sounds like they should, exept knuckles, and rouge. It is a fun game. I've beaten the final story. I kinda like the new eggmans voice, seems good for him, not as good as the old voice actor, but good non the less.

It's a matter of opinion with the voice actors. Not many people liked them from the beginning.
I have no doubt that Shadow is a fun game... I mean, Sonic Heroes was fun for me, but there were many things that could've been improved, and I doubt Shad. is any different. Also, the "vehicles and guns" sicken me. Shadow doesn't seem the kind to use firearms, and he wouldn't need them anyway (Chaos Spear serves as an explosive bullet of some kind). He can run fast than the speed of sound and corner on a dime... why would he need ground vehicles? Aircraft I can understand, but not that Jeep we see on the back cover.
Like a lot of the people I spoke to about it, I'm not impressed with the way Sonic games are heading. Who are they trying to impress? It makes NO sense for Shadow to use guns, and the fact that he does anyway changes the spirit of the game, and the character, completely. *Shudder* I'll play Shadow and probably beat it (I don't know, because it doesn't SEEM like a Sonic game; I might have trouble adjusting), but I don't think I'll ever like it as much as SA2.
And what's this about different VERSIONS? I have two consoles, PS2 and NGC; what version/s do they get?

you must have Verson 1.0 of the game then, as verson 1.1 has most glitches fixed ... there is only one version of Shadow. The different "version"s just means GameCube/PS2/XBOX. They're all the same "version", just for different systems. The differences in the games are hardware related - obviously, the PS2, being the least powerful of the systems, would be the worst to get, with the GameCube and XBOX versions being basically the same.

When it comes to voice actors, the only better VOs is Rouge and Amy. Other than that, I prefer the old ones, especially Ryan Drummond. But because of what happened to Deem Bristow (god bless his soul), they had to change the entire cast.
But to be honest, I've had more fun with Fire Emblem for the GC than Shadow over the last days. Shadow was a bit... weird.

Mike Pollock makes an excellent Eggman. Not as good as Deem, no, but still excellent.

The game was alright to me, but I thought that Shadow was a better character in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Battle.

I don't know about Sonic Battle, but he was better in SA2 for sure.
And Mike Pollock is actually one of the better voice actors...

Hmm.. sounds like people do have a few issues with the game. Eh, I still have to play it though. I need to play every game at least once to see whether or not I like it.

Is version 1.1 the GC and Xbox versions? Anyway, I still die from many cheap deaths in that game. As for what I've said about the voice-acting, I'll have to take that back. Everyone does a good job with the voices, except for Charmy. His voice is so annoying.

Another thing about Shadow is that there is 326 paths in the game and Sonic Team named them all so you must unlock them.... by beating it 326 times.

ok, so you got beat it over 300 times. then that should give it a lot of replay value. or does it? the storyline might differ, but don't some parts get to be a bit repetitive? i don't think i'd remain interested in the game after playing it over so many times. the only way i'd be able to do that is if i do it over a long period of time

The scenes are the same with each level but each route is recorded as a different path.
I found a plot hole in Shadow:
In the beginning cutscene where Shadow is loading a gun and walking on the edge of a cliff. See the full moon? Just a normal old moon right? Those who played Sonic Adventure 2(or watched Sonic X) should put 2 and 2 together.
