[glow=red,2,300]This is the story that got me started in using the name Mobius Revolution for just about everything, my site, my message board, my comics, and possibly my fangame. It's never been quite finished yet because i had made a different version of this story before and i really don't want to share that version. But please be patient with me.... it's long.[/glow]
Sitting high atop a cliff overlooking a vast forest, a small white fox stares up into the night sky. Her white fur is dappled silver in the moonlight and bright brown eyes are orbs of curiouosity. At first, she looks to be nothing more than a normal vixen, but she was anything far from normal. First off, she had two Tails. She could have easily been mistaken for Tails if her fur was not white.
Sighing the vixen takes her eyes off of the stars and stares down into the forest. Behind her, in a small clump of bushes, a little creature appears and creeps up behind her. In the shadows, it looks like a rabbit, but it wears a shell that of a turtle. A purple ribbon is wrapped about its head. This creature is an a-life (artificial life-form) and its name is Ayame.
"Ayame, what are you doing up here?" the little fox asks without turning around. She already knew that the a-life was there. "You should've went to sleep. We'll be busy tommorow."
"I know that but..... I just can't go to sleep. I sense something is bothering you," Ayame crawls into the vixen's lap and snuggles itself in her arms. "Why are you so nervous? Nothing will happen to us."
"You think so? I have this feeling that our training wasn't anywhere near done. Maybe sensei said we were ready, but for some reason, I think there was more we haven't learned yet," the little fox sighed again.
Ayame stared down into the forest too, "Well what can we do? Your sensei is too old to fight anymore. That's why he asked us. He wants us to do this. The fate of the world depends on us two. I mean, who else will be able to fight this battle and win?"
"I don't know. But I do know...... that we probably won't win. Which means we have to find help. We need anyone that can help us fight and save this world."
The next day......
"Man, now this is a vacation!" Relaxing on a beach, our speedy hero, Sonic was taking a break from his duty as a freedom fighter. Just recently, the blue blur thwarted another of evil Eggman's plans of turning Earth into a world of robotic animals.
Running along the coast of the beach, Tails, Sonic's little fox friend, looked very excited over something. "Sonic! I've finished my prototype! Come look!"
Pulling the sunglasses off of his face, Sonic glanced over at what the little orange fox was holding. It appeared to be nothing more than a flat piece of metal with a huge yellow thing attached to the end. "What's that supposed to be, Tails? Is it an ironing board?"
"No, Sonic. This is probably the coolest thing I made. Of course I've tried doing this before but now I'm positive that this will work! This is my jet-powered surfboard!" Tails pointed out.
"Another one? Let's just hope this one will work. I don't want my little buddy to drown because the surfboard malfunctioned," Sonic closed his eyes and tried to doze off. Tails, on the other hand, ran into the water and immediately tried out his surfboard.
After about half an hour, Tails noticed some girl out on the beach quite a distance away from Sonic. He didn't know how he hadn't noticed her. The girl was wearing something neon pink. At first, he thought it was Amy. Then, he realized that the girl wasn't a pink hedgehog. It was a purple bat.
"Rouge?" Tails said softly. No, it couldn't be Rouge. Rouge was a white bat and she didn't wear all neon pink. Besides Rouge always wore blue eye shadow and this bat had eye shadow that matched the color of her outfit.
Not seeing where he had been going, Tails finally looked in front of him and saw a huge rock jutting out from under the surface of the water. "AAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!" Tails yelled as he tried to swerve away. It was too late though. He flew off of the rock and lost his surfboard. He closed his eyes and yelled, "SONIC!"
Sonic was up in a flash. Using a rocky cliff along the ocean, Sonic ran sideways on the rocky surface and grabbed Tails. He then ran all the way up the cliff and onto the top in the grass. Setting down Tails, he sat down. "Y'know, that's why I don't like it when you make prototypes of jet powered surfboards.
"Sorry, Sonic," Tails ears drooped a little. "But I hadn't meant for that to happen. I saw this girl on the beach."
Sonic gave the fox an amused look. "Tails, what are you doing checking out girls already?! Sheesh, you're way too young to be worried about any of this."
"No, that's not what I meant!" Tails said quickly. "I thought I saw Rouge at first, or maybe even Amy. The girl looked like Rouge but it was a purple bat!" He looked frantically over where he had seen her. However, she was already gone.
"Geez, Tails. I don't know what's going on with you but I think we've had enough fun at the beach. Let's go home," Sonic gathered his stuff and walked off. Tails, took one last look around for the girl, then followed after him.
