I was thinking about gloves, after making a pair of paw-gloves thanks to someone at a convention. Normally I'd never sew anything, but it was neat to discover I could make a physical object, not just a story or program. (Tried a fox-tail too, based on a pattern seen here, but don't have it right yet.) A Tails-style glove seems to have five fingers (unusual for a cartoon character), plain white, with a wide cuff. There's a black band at the wrist, apparently making it tighter as though it's a hand-me-down. It looks like white leather or something, but would have to be thin enough for mechanical work. What material would you use? What pattern? The gloves I tried used a really simple pattern, just linking two hand-tracings, instead of having the fingers curved. I started on a Tails glove using white linen, but it looked too thin.

I'm actually in the process of making some paw-gloves. It's hard! And planning on making a tail as soon as I can find the right shade of orange.
I'm making the paws out of really short fur. I want them as form-fitting as possible, so I fit a piece of fabric around each finger. I'm kinda regretting doing it this way though, and wish I had just used some really thin gloves as a base.
For your gloves, I would suggest polyester or rayon for the material.
