Was curious to see if this message board was still around and as luck would have it, here we are! Hey everyone, I'm Alex and I'm 31 years old now! So many years have passed since I've posted here; its been especially fun going through all the old gaming topics and seeing what everyone made of current gaming events and the like.
I recently moved across the country, east coast to west coast; as you can imagine it was a big stressor weighing on me for months. I moved just fine ultimately but to alleviate the stress I spent a lot of time playing Hypnospace Outlaw. Now not to spoil EVERYTHING, but the ending segment of that game involves reconnecting with characters from the game many years in the future and going through old archives of websites you visited in the past. It really resonated with me as someone whose only real connection to the outside world was through the internet. I think these spaces we inhabited are just as important as any "meat space" places we have nostalgia for and unfortunately, just as vulnerable to vanishing. I'm glad, at least for the time being, that this is still a place I can revisit. See what exactly I was like as a teenager and how I've grown as a person (at least in regards to my tastes in video games, which to be honest aren't that much different LOL).
Well unfortunately I'm working from home and should get back to it. If by chance you do read this, I hope you're out there doing well and I hope you're surrounded by people that truly love and support you. There's a lot of scary stuff in the world these days and I've learned over time how having a loving community surrounding you is one of the things that really makes all this worth getting through. IRL or URL, it's important wherever you can find it. Peace <3
P.S. I still love Tails, could never give up on that little guy ;w;
