This is just a heads up that if anyone has a system administrator where they work, make sure to drop them some form of appreciation today! It could be anything as minor as a "Thanks!", to a caffeinated... anything, sandwich, or just try not bugging him for minor things.
Here in our family, Sysadmin Day has kinda turned into a "Christmas in July for me", just without the long meals, and lengthy family discussions. I got (in advance of course), a new pair of shoes, and Guitar Hero II (which I am addicted to, as anyone on my friends list should've noticed).
And on the note of Guitar Hero II: If you have alot of free time on your hands - get it. If not, or wish to use your time for something else - avoid it like the plague. GH2 is one of those "easy to learn, VERY hard to master" rythem games. I find myself, when I have a spare moment, to fire up the game, and see if I can beat a score that I set for myself. That being said though, GH2 is a really good game. An outsider might think of it as boring, but once you get into it, you're pretty much sucked into it for the duration.

Sysadmin day... really? Huh, they really made a holiday out of everything.
Well you have a good Sysadmin day I guess. Never thought I'd ever say that. Actually Never thought of ever... thinking that?
I know a hell of a lot of games. I know their developers, the process of making one and the entire industry as a whole. With all that knowledge, you'd think an innovative experience like Guitar Hero would be natural for me, who always want to experience the next best thing and master it. Unfortunally, I SUCK(those are capitals so its serious) at Guitar Hero. Or else it'd be in my 360 collection today.

Sysadmin Day is pretty much like Administrative Professionals/Secretary Day, where on a certain day of the year, you would florish your secretary with gifts and whatnot for keeping up with the fast paced work environment. Sysadmin Day is the same thing, except replace secretaries with system administrators. For more information, feel free to check out sysadminday.comOh, and on the note for GHII, I just got up this morning, and tried playing it. Nearly got a perfect on "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart", but for some reason that I still can't believe, I missed the last freaking note.
