Yea, I'm in class now and I should be listening to a lecture about Visual Basic, but since I know this from high school, no need for that.
Last week was one huge week in games, like 30-40 games came out for basically every system but the original Xbox. Cooking Mama for Wii, Oblivion for PS3, Godfather for Wii/PS3, Virtua Tennis for PS3/360, Castlevania Symphony of the Night for 360, TMNT for 360/Wii/GCN/GBA/DS/PS2/PSP/PC, Armored Core 4 for 360/PS3, Yugioh 2007, Lost in Blue 2 for DS, Wing Island and Marble Mania for Wii, Full Auto 2 and After Burner for PSP, Earth Defense Force 2017 for 360 and more. But unfortunally, most of these games SUCK. Cooking Mama being the most disappointing. Oblivion, Castlevania, Godfather and the GBA version of TMNT are the 4 non-sucky ones.
Now I played most of these games and one of them I played for pure curiosity, that's Earth Defense Force 2017 for the Xbox 360. Now with this game, I saw it and never heard of it when I ripped it from the new releases at work. I looked at it and rented it. This game is mostly about the typical budget Japanese monster movie, only that it's a budget Japanese monster game. You fight huge ants, spiders, robots and UFOs. HUNDREDS of them at once. You kill them with a ton of types of guns. There's roughly 150 of them, but you start with two. You unlock them by collecting weapon icons when you kill enemies and you can also increase your max health by collecting armor icons. You need more health if you want to beat harder difficulties and better guns can be unlocked in those difficulties. Now this game is kinda bad cause nothing is detailed nicely, framerate doesn't stay with you, some guns can be useless, etc. BUT! It's what makes a budget Japanese monster movie, so it's acceptable, or dare I say it, makes it better. It's ALOT of fun. Stupid fun, dumb fun, I dunno but it's just fun. If you played Lost Planet, you might think it's a watered down version of that. It's only 40 bucks so it's a budget price. Try it out and you might have a lil fun
*Class is over- I'll update it when I come home*
