Who should be the next president of the United States? Your choices are: George W. Bush (Republican), and John Kerry (Democrat).
And please don't post something crazy/stupid like "neither should i think Tails should be pressident!!!!111".

I'd vote for Kerry. After all, he can't screw us up much more than Bush, anyway.

I don't really believe in any of that 'Bush thinks he's sent from God to wage war' and so forth. I try to stay rational about my views of the two presidents. I naturally lean Republican, but only moderately so. My view on John Kerry is that he's doing good at keeping a man-of-the-people attitude, and trying to represent their ideas, but he lacks a certain steadfastness to his own ideas that is known to be a helpful trait in famous past presidents. It's his instability in his decisions that has even caused him to be known as a "waffle", flipping from one side to the other. My view on George Bush is that some of his decisions have been controversial, but these decisions have to be made, whether or not everyone agrees with them (like France...). Besides, sometimes it's not all about his set of views, but half about how appropriately he can handle the position of president, and I very much like his way of keeping a calm, not overreactive, presidential attitude. There are lots of other details to the decision, like how I find I support more of Bush's views than Kerry's (including certain oil drills in Alaska I didn't support until I realized they weren't really a disruption to the wildlife at all). But anyways, I'm going for Bush. *Votes Republican*

Well, I look at Bush, and I see an old guy who screwed with this country. When I look at Kerry, I see an oldish guy who might/might not help this country. We don't know what Kerry is really capable of. I just voted for Kerry because he seems 'nice' on TV.

Four years ago, I made the mistake of wanting Bush in office. However, As soon as he took the office, after the oh-to-close call, I realized exactly how much of a mistake that was. He began messing up the country, slowly, almost no one would notice. However, it wasn't until September 11th that everyone noticed that Bush was a mistake. Also, me with having relatives that serve in the army, airforce, and navy, sending them in to find WMD, which were never found, really pissed me off!
Bush wanted to be so much like his dad. He wanted to lead America through a war. Well there ya go Bush, you put the country in war, and now your one hated president.
Each time that my relatives were supposed to come home from Iraq, they never did. They aren't coming home until around Christmas now, hopefully they will. I miss them deeply. They were supposed to be home Christmas of 2003, yet they are still over there. Bush made false promises. I dont respect that from such a high figure as him.
Also, when Bush kept on saying during his campain trail in 2000, he said how he was going to improve our country, and how much better it was going to be. Well he succeded at ONLY ONE thing. The country came together after September 11th. However, hundreds of lives were lost... Thats no excuse. All of the information was there... Security was just way to damn lazy to pass the information. It was never Clintons fault. It was the security's fault, also it was when Bush took office, that the National Security really became lazy. The info of 9/11 was scattered, and everything was just STUPID.
I just cant trust the fate of America in Bush's hands again. I WISH that Clinton could take office again, he was one damn good president.
Kerry, I know he isnt the best choise, however, he is helluva lot better then Bush. I know Kerry can make some bad mistakes, vote one way on a subject, then the other on it. I live in Massachusetts, I know this stuff. Marik does as well. Anyway, I trust Kerry WAY WAY WAY more then I could ever trust Bush. At one point, Bush earned my respect... however, that was quickly lost.
I vote for Kerry.

Well, he didn't make drastic, widely attention-catching improvements, but I do think he fixed some things at least. It's just not that easy to point out most of the little things... I've seen the news shows on this, and there are many who argue just that, but there are at least as many who explain how there really wasn't near enough info to predict much about what they were planning. I supported Bush in 2000, and I've never really regretted it. I didn't like war, but I could tell Bush didn't either. War wasn't his first option at all. He gave Iraq the chance to prove themself harmless, but they refused, and refused. He eventually had to do it to protect America from a country that was very likely to pose great danger to all of us. Yes, lives were lost, but lives were surely saved as a result. The citizens of Iraq were living under a harsh dictatorship, where death sentences were an all too common threat. Other lives may have been saved as well; though WMDs have not been found, weapons of all other sorts have. Stashes of deadly chemical and biological weapons have been found hidden in Iraq after long hard searching through the country. It's interesting how so much of the Kerry support isn't really a pro-Kerry attitude, but an anti-Bush attitude. Meanwhile, the Bush support seems much better at focusing on what their candidate can do, not what the other candidate can't. Some may not feel in the mood to trust Bush, but as of yet, I have as much reason to trust him in this war as I do Kerry. Somehow it feels like Kerry will get the majority of votes from young citizens, but Bush will get the majority from older Americans. (Which has little to do with him being older.)

Kerry, even though he is probably a liar ...i hate politics..i just dont like bush, mainly because of the war in iraq which was pretty much nothing but a stall tactic to take americas mind of alqeada and bin laden in my opinion, sure, he caught saddam, but in the end there where no nuclear weapons in Iraq, and we still havent got Bin Laden. In the end, all we got was hurt US soldiers... but i still dont trust kerry either..im just giving him the benefit of the doubt because he seems honest.... but dont all politicans? so hard to tell ..heh

But according to you guys I should, and thats really scarey, no lies.[/glow] Undecided

From an outsiders point of view; kerry seems to be the better candidate, from the little that I have heard about this, so I voted for him. On polotics as a whole though I really wouldn't be suprised if kerry was just as ineffective at improving USA as Bush was, all these people seem to want is an easylife, if corners can be cut they will be...

From an outsider's point of view, Kerry seems to be the better candidate, ... Which is, I suspect, part of the reason why he has been encouraging young voters to get registered, and participate in the election. Those less experienced with evaluating the election campaigns are more likely to just look at the main ideas and find Kerry's to be be more sensible and likeable (see my previous comment on Oil Drills in Alaskan Wildlife Reserves for example). This can often be the effect when Democrats lean toward Idealist while Republicans lean Realist. (Oh, and I'm not going to judge somebody on a speech imperfection; nobody's perfect. Hopefully that comment about Bush was just for the humor of it anyway.)
