I have seen an episode of it. Over in my town in ohio, everyone loved pokemon for some time until like 2001 or so, then they found yugioh and loved it. from the way it seemed, its like pokemon which is strange since everyone doesnt see the resemblance.

YuGiOh is a poor (but working) rip-off of Pokemon. Konami wanted to feel the success Nintendo did, and well...they succeeded. However, I don't find either card game and its franchises to be interesting, but I am surprised how Konami bitchslapped Nintendo at its own game.

I don't think I've seen a game from them that hasn't been highly successful. They made many games and series such as Castlevania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gradius, Contra, Metal Gear, Rocket Knight, and Yu-Gi-Oh. They're going to start making Shaman King games too, and I wouldn't doubt that will also be successful It looks like a good variety of games for all ages and genres.

Castlevania and Metal Gear to me are the most known games, except over here, no one played those games unless it came out for the gameboy

Yugioh wasnt a ripoff, first the Pokemon TCG was created after ther success of the series and games, Yugioh mostly started off a card game and a comic and branched to a TV show. Plus what Anime doesnt deal with Monsters and stuff like that. Plus Konami didnt create Yugioh, Shonen Jump and Kazuki Takahashi did, Konami just licensed it.
