Magic is nothing like Yu-gi-oh. MAgic was fun when it first came out, breaking into a new realm of card playing. But now it isn't fun because most games last less then 5 min. If you like quick games like that, Magic is your game. I like most games where you have to use tactics and knowledge of what is going on. These type of games last a good 20 min on average. But do not start any new card game unless you have money to spend. A good $50 to start the game and $10 a week after that to keep up your card count. This will suck dry your wallet fast...trust me on this.

I know all about that and you're wrong, Magic takes like at least half an hour to end a match.

Then you are playing agianst weak players. I've play over 10 games in one hour...just too short for me.

oh yeah go to the mall in the toy store section or the game store section there should be some in one of those.cause at the local mall around here theres a store that sells games and trading card games.like magic the gathering yugioh and such.but i dun really like yugioh looks kinna crappy.the yugioh game in the cartoon was cooler cause of the 3d holographic projector things that gave the stuff special effects like the moon affecting the tide.a magic fire spell burning down a forest.and such like the magic cards having about five diff effects depending on what creatures are out and suhc.the real life game is much much different like the blue eyes white dragon has a whole crapload of fake cards.and the exodia thing.whats the deal with that it can ACTUALLY be defeated......

well uhmm....... yugioh was actually based off magic the gathering.konami was like.....hmmmm.......then yugioh was born.lol anyway magic is better than yugioh.yugioh has some stupid rules like if you have 5 fusion cards you can only use fifty cards

heh then maybe he needs to play better people..heres my question ive never seen a single forest element sliver...why is that?
forest is my fav element mainly cause it always has a ressurection or healing spell or a card like "put your graveyard back into your hand shuffle then draw *however many cards*"

Hello, everyone. I'm afraid I have to disagree with you about slivers. They can be useful, but basing an entire deck on them can be a powerful tactic, but you need to get them out first. A few Engineered Plagues would virtually wipe them all out. BTW, here's a site that has any rulings you might need: www.crystalkeep.com
