Diamond and Pearl were finally announced. They are the new DS installments of the Pokemon series.
Pokemon Rangers is a game based on the new movie, Pokemon Ranger. We dunno if this is for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, GameCube or Revolution.

There's nothing wrong with them, they just don't need to make 3 copies of the same game every time.

well each has exclusive things and since handhelds games are cheaper, people can afford all of them and hence doubling or tripling sales. It's very smart.

I just think it's greedy, the third version always has everything the other two did anyway.

I just think it's greedy, the third version always has everything the other two did anyway. Are you surprised that game developers are greedy? Im not too fond of Pokemon either, but alot of people are. Im sure there are people who think they should stop making Sonic games, but I dont think so.

Excellent example. Plus Nintendo's success on this series grossed over 100 million dollars on the handheld ones alone. Thats second to Mario which did 180 mil

it's not like i hate pokemon. don't get me wrong. i enjoy playing it from time to time. it's just that, there's usually new pokemon coming out, and as new pokemon come out i start to dislike them because they don't look as good as the orginals. I loved the orginal 150 pokemon. but there a few of the new ones out there that i do like. Take Blaziken for example. He's one of my favorite.... but that's because he's part fighting and he's got that fighter look to him

I can see where youre coming from. It does suck when developers overload a series with new characters. Im looking in your direction Sega.

Pokemon Rangers huh? ..... Why is it that image of Power Rangers keep creeping up? Well, as long as it won't be like that... I won't make a big deal of it

Id like to see a bunch of Pokemon characters dressed up as Power Rangers. I think that would be pretty amusing.

I'll admit it. Even though Pokemon consumed several years of my life, I, like may other gamers out there, believed for a while that Pokemon was stupid and needed to end. I'm not sure if it was just because I stopped playing it, or because older gamers deemed it "uncool"... but I didn't like it... which is very ironic since it was a series I once loved. But I came to my senses, when my older brother (who's a teacher) gave me a confiscated GBA game he stole from one of his students. As it turned out, it was Pokemon LeafGreen... and my friends, I now respect Pokemon again. Replaying the original adventure with better graphics and new twists was a blast, and I instantly fell in love with the whole RPG set-up of the series. So my point is, Pokemon is a great series. If you once played and loved the original Red and Blue versions, then you're a disgrace to video games if you think Pokemon games suck. How could you insult Pokemon? It has one of the greatest formulas in video game history! Collecting a variety of creatures, that you can train and battle with... the whole concept of interacting with other gamers, through trades and all... and just the brilliant RPG-elements that make this series so sucessful... how the heck can you honestly say it sucks?! You don't have to like Pokemon. You can even request that there stop being so many new generations of Pokemon. But to say the game itself sucks... that's a lie and you know it!

Pokemon is a rather good game, I must say. ... Or a rather good series of games that just seems to go on and on and on like that thrice-blasted Duracell rabbit. The only thing that's turned me off of them is that I've been spoiled by the other games I've been playing, which are mostly real-time RPGs as opposed to the turn-based system used in Pokemon. Also, they're not rated G. Call me morbid, call me twisted, called me wrong in the head, but I like stabbing things without waiting for them to hit me first. I like ambushing people and creatures so that I get the most amount of hits in. And I like being able to defend without having to give up a turn I could be using to attack my enemy.
... I'm sorry, was that a slightly off-topic rant that likely disturbed a couple people? Ah, well. I apologize. Could someone tell me how many Pokemon related games are out now?

Can we just say a lot? There's too many to count. Let's see....
Pokemon Red/Blue Pokemon Yellow Pokemon Gold/Silver Pokemon Crystal Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon Emerald Pokemon Leaf Rreen/Fire Red Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 Pokemon Snap Hey You Pikachu Pokemon Channel Pokemon Colosseum
...... my head's hurting. There's too many. And then don't forget that you get to play as Pokemon in Super Smash Brothers and Melee.
What I want to really see is an adventure game where you play a Pokemon and you run through forests, and cities, and along beaches fighting off other wild pokemon that attack you. Now that'd be fun.

Holy crap, that's a freakin' lot. And yes. Yes that would. It'd also be nice if you got more than four stinkin' attacks.

That's why they should have an adventure game where you can have all sorts of combo attacks and stuff. It'd be cool if the pokemon could fight like in the show.

*nods* Most definitely. After all, if they're going to exploit this 'gold mine' they've hit, why not deviate from their set pattern a bit.
