Nintendo revealed that they will be releasing the Nintendo DS in November, launching first in the US. It will also be compatible with the GBA, but there's no link cable port. It isn't confirmed if the wireless connection will be able to replace that. The link cables for GBA are very precise when it comes to who is which player, and errors happening when a non-participating system is connected. There may be hope for 2-player games, but maybe not 4-player. We also don't know if it will be compatible with GB / GBC games. But the GBA games won't vanish out of nowhere. The SP and Gameboy Player are still selling strong and may likely drop in price (atleast the SP will). See ds.ign.com/articles/549/549919p1.html for info.

XFox, its wireless. Nearly all their games are 4 player multiplayer. Mario 64X4, Metriod Prime: First Hunters, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Animal Crossing, and Yugioh. It is compatable with only Game Boy Advance games and The GBASP did drop in price already to $79.99. Pictochat, the Nintendo IM for the DS's is built in to the DS(kickass) and a demo of Metroid Prime First Hunters will get packaged with the DS.
