Oh yea, Ryu's slicing torsos and lobbing heads in 2008 with Ninja Gaiden 2. In Microsoft's Tokyo Game Show's press conference, they announced the sequel to the 2004, 2005 and 2007's Ninja Gaiden and its rehashes. It's totally more bloody and gory than the PS3's NG Sigma. Bodies don't blow up in blood, they stay and roll around under his feet. He even rips off Wolverine with nasty wrist claws.
Also for the shoot em up(or shmup) category, the kickass Dreamcast/GameCube shmup, Ikaruga will hit the Live Arcade. It joins one of the final Dreamcast games ever made in Japan (which was this year), Trigger Heart Excelica. Also on the List is a HD remake of the PS2/DC musical game, Rez; the PSP puzzler Exit, another PSP game, Every Extend Extra and the PS1 mech game, Omega Boost. Now where's Radient Silvergun.....
Another big 360 announcement was Square-Enix and Tri-Ace(known for Star Ocean) are making a new game(with a dumb name), Infinite Undiscovery.
Also for the shmup fans, the wacky Dreamcast game, Bangai-O, is making its way onto the DS with 4-Player mode and a level editor.
