Uwahh! This game is so great! I wasn't expecting it to be so addicting but it is. If you like rpg's, get it when it comes out.
Now most people should know about the Dragon Quest series, and that the characters were designed by Akira Toriyama (creator of Dr. Slump and Dragonball). At first, I was worried because I was hoping that none of the character were going to look like super saiyans or something and well... yeah, there are times where the main character will look like a super saiyan. But still, it's such a fun rpg.
Each member of your party has his or her own unique moves (personally, i think Yangus' moves are so cool. Brute force baby!), both physical and special, along with a variety of spells you can use on your opponents. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to get a feel of the storyline. I only had a limited amount of time to play on a playstation (i had to give it back to the kid eventually...), but just fighting, it's like any other rpg.
When wandering around in the fields, you won't see the monsters, they'll spawn randomly which is good. I like surprises. But even more surprises, there's a lot of monsters in this game. There's got to be... unless they just gave me one of everything to fight. I like that too. I don't want to fight the same two or three things over and over again. But I noticed that when you win a battle, your characters don't show any emotion. When they win, they just stand there like idiots. Oh well, I don't care. It was fun playing it. And the field was pretty big too. I was wandering around for a while trying to explore everything.
As for the other stuff, I loved the graphics, the animation was good, I could have done without the orchestra, but it fit the game nicely, and I never quite understood why this one cat kept saying purplexing. But anyway, when it comes out, get this game. It's great!
