(I'm trying my best to work hard at reviving this board here...)
Donkey Kong Barrel Blast is coming out soon.... October 8th to be exact. Originally planned to be released for the Gamecube, it was held off to be put out on the Wii.
Barrel Blast is a racing game that focuses on using the nunchuk and wii-mote instead of the bongo pads to maneuver your character. Drumming the nunchuk will steer left, drumming the wii-mote will steer right, and slamming them both together makes your character leap. (wait... slamming them as in into each other? is that really a good way to use your wii-mote and nunchuk?) However, this causes the overall control to be a little iffy. Basically, you are air-drumming to move around instead of banging away on something a bit more solid.
The game does have Mii support for profile saves. However, unless you are a big DK fan, you probably will not be into buying this game right away

This game was a cool niche game if it was $30 on GameCube with the Bongo support, but now it's completely lame and gimmicky on Wii for $50.

Honestly, I think it really would have been better on the gamecube, but they wanted it on the Wii to appeal to a bigger audience. And it's $50? Is that really what they consider a drop in price for this game because you're not getting the same experience as playing on the bongo?
