Man, the Wii seems to be on a roll lately. Anyway, if you didn't know, Gamestop listed RE4 as an upcoming Wii title, and it was confirmed that it was coming out on the Wii by Famitsu. What your getting is all the new features of the PS2 version (don't know if they are adding any more extras like that), plus motion controls.
From IGN Wii:The Wiimote is used to aim a targeting cursor in order to target and fire at your enemies. To reload, you hold down on the B trigger and shake the Wiimote. In case you were wondering, the built-in speaker is being programmed with a reload sound effect.
The Wiimote is also used for close-range attacks. When an enemy approaches, all you have to do is give the Wiimote a little of the shake-shake. The game automatically detects the direction of the enemy and makes Leon perform a knife attack. This move can also be used against trees and barrels.
The rest of the game has also been modified to take account of the Wii's unique controller. Interactive event scenes display the Wii buttons when prompting for input. Some events require that you shake the Wiimote.

On April 12th we'll see it in action when Capcom unveils their newest games. Hopefully the visuals will be the GameCube version's or better. But I just remember this game being a GCN exclusive, then PS2, then PC, now Wii. They're whoring it now. Surprised no 360 version yet. Also RE4 Wii will have trailers and other content from the other RE game on Wii: Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.

Oh, forgot to mention this, I find it a little funny. From IGN: The producers of the Wii version revealed to Famitsu that one of their goals is to allow families who play the Wii together to experience Resident Evil. The game will include "Easy" and "Amateur" difficulty settings, selectable from the start, that will make aiming easier and keep your life from depleting too fast. Fun for the whole family!

Here's the control layout. Seems solid and gives you the option to use the nunchuk's sensing or just do it manually.

Ok one thing, Gametrailers.com did a GameCube to Wii comparison. I don't see a damn thing different. I ask for those with fancy HD monitors or those who hook their PC to a nice TV or whatever. I want to see if there's ANY difference in visuals (and don't say the white A button vs a green one)
