IGN got info from a British game mag that interviewed Iwata-san and the Revolution's controller will be simplified for casual gamers intead of the male dominated complex controllers like the 360 and PS3. The controller will have fewer sticks and face buttons So expect something like the GameCube controller but no C stick or Z button. It has to have enough controls for a Nintendo 64 game so it'll be like a N64 contoller but GameCube setup.

Well, it sounds simple enough. But I wonder what it's going to be like when you play games with that controller. Looking at games that are out now, it seems like character mobility could be limited in ways.

Big rumor! But it's more legit than anything else. It's Ethertouch. www.ethertouch.com/main/index.phpNintendo owns a chunk of this business. It is a bit revolutionary too. The Revolution will be the first game controller to have this technology. It's like a touch screen, but it makes the average touch screen obsolete. The site I showed you starts with this: EtherTouch™, The 3-D Capacitive Sensing™ company, develops innovative technology for high-resolution position sensing for a wide variety of applications including consumer and industrial electronics. EtherTouch’s capacitive sensing technology utilizes the capacitance between the human body and a set of sensors to achieve advanced 3D sensing solutions. The EtherTouch™ ASIC can be used to complement or replace: - pointing accessories - mechanical and digital buttons - scrolling wheels - 3D touch screens. And, with a 12-channel sensing capacity, EtherTouch™ can be used to add 3-dimensional capabilities to an application such as games consoles and CAD tools.
