Microsoft has been high and mighty about being first out on the market and showing off, but it might be the unveiling of a business strategy by Nintendo and Sony. Third Party developers stated that the cycle for this new genertion won't start until the PS3's launch, so Microsoft has nothing until its launch. Sony is doing the same thing like they did with the PS2 against the Dreamcast. Saying stuff like "Developers, do NOT deveop for the XBox 360, instead develop for us, we'll have so much inproved technology to hype up your games' graphics and our Blu-Ray disks hold double of the 360's DVD" Nintendo has also decided to wait til well into 2006 to release the Revolution. If Nintendo and Sony's console are that much better that the XBox 360 is ended up to be obsolete like the Dreamcast was for this generation because of a hasty, early launch; the 360 will be defeated.

That's an interesting business plan. It'll be funny to see the Xbox 360, which everyone is going head over heels for, become obslete compared to the Revolution and PS3.

Then again, considering the main reason the Dreamcast failed, it's unlikely that both of those two could happen (as the former would prevent the latter). The XBox (360) also just isn't in as risky a position as the Dreamcast, considering the affluent owners and the high-as-we'd-ever-need-it graphics capability.

Yet think about the XBox's world wide sales. It completly slumped. The US was one of the few places where the sales did good. If the 360 is released too early it will most likley fail. Maybe not for too reasons. Microsoft will try to keep their product alive through graphics. Yet the games that are needed to support it aren't coming until the PS3 and NRev. It makes you wonder though. Will Microsoft blow it as Sega did? I wouldn't mind seeing just Sony and Nintendo again. The times were good back then.

Actually Bill Gates himself said that the Xbox 360 has something in store against Sony's PS3 launch in 2006, Halo 3.

Bill Gates wants to buy out Zelda. Miyamoto-San would never sell that! I could never see Zelda being sold to someone like that. Anyway, Halo is getting OLD now (in my opinion) I AM SICK OF IT! Theres only so far that a game can be pushed. It's a stupid effort.

Microsoft won't go out of buisness that early, they may recall the xbox 360 like they did the Xbox when it fried your games due to a hasty realease, this hasty realease is supposed to discurage other comanies from releasing anything.

Well official Worldwide, Microsoft is now in 2nd place. Nintendo is now last. Nintendo is the one that needs to get serious too. Nintendo won't go out of business that easily cause I already know that they aren't losing any money(just low on profits) and ain't gonna lose money on the Revolution. The DS is their money maker now and Zelda will rake in a few dozen if not hundred million dollars. Nintendo next year will have 4 systems running! The GCN will prob get dumped in 2006 like the Xbox is now(Conker is the last Microsoft made game for the Xbox). The GBA is continuing fine, but not as well due to it's bigger sister, the DS, and the outragous support the DS is getting, but when the GBA Micro and GBA MP3 player comes out this fall, the GBA will get a few bucks flowing. At E3 2006, I already know the GBA sucessor will be shown and thats when Nintendo will transfer over from the GBA to the new one.

I do wonder about the XBox 360. Looking at the situation from a few different angles, I see that it might be over before it even really starts. On the other hand, it might actually be a big thing. But time will tell.
As for Nintendo, you can tell it won't be going out of business anytime soon. With the Nintendo fans that are out there, they would never let that happen. Besides, there are a lot of good games on the Gamecube and stuff. Sure, some seem a bit childish in ways, but these are the games that we love.
