Everone thinks this is only another Pokemon Stadium but its actually a whole new game altogether. You play this former member of Team Snaggem and you break into their HQ and steal their Snag Machine with your Pokemon, Espeon and Umbreon. The Snag Machine lets you steal Pokemon from trainers in battle with a normal Pokeball. Thats how you get new Pokemon in the game, theres no wild Pokemon in grass in this game. You team up with a chick who can see Pokemon with a black aura. These are Shadow Pokemon who had their hearts shut down by this team(I forgot whats their name) and become ruthless fighting machines. You have to steal these Pokemon and purify them into normal Pokemon. I like it cause its finally a 3D version of the game.

They did great with the double battling from Ruby/Saphirre. The moves are good, Graphics are cool, the thing it lack was field controls you only like walk and talk. Good storyline for a Pokemon game even this is really the only Pokemon game with a real storyline. The others are where you get to gyms ad get badges and this is all out kick a evil org's ass

Do you see that the Pokemon hit each other in battle? In stadium, you just seen one attack, and the other one getting hit, but never them really touching each other.

to me, slightly disappointing. They forgot story data vs story data (2 memory cards, der) IMO, the Stadium Series is better than this. 6.9/10

Would this game be a good stand-alone game for someone who doesn't have Pok'emon Ruby / Sapphire and has never heard of this "double battle" thing? I saw Colosseum in the store but I don't want to get it if it means I have to buy the other games just have fun with it. The last game I played was Silver, and there's been like 6 more games since then. With the DS not supporting GBA link cable, they wouldn't seem worth it. I might start over with the DS games since those will be wireless (But you can't use a GBA wireless adaptor in or against someone using a DS). If the DS Pok'emon games require too much knowledge and gameplay experience from Ruby, Sapphire, and the other games I missed, they might not be fun enough to be a worthy purchase either though. I'll go by the reviews.

Just for a slight topic change, you really shouldn't go by reviews alone. Get some hands on time with it, borrow it from a friend, rent it from your local video store, but don't base it off of reviews alone. Take Pariah for instance. The reviews said it sucked (I think GS gave it a 5.7), but I actually enjoyed the game.

Would this game be a good stand-alone game for someone who doesn't have Pok'emon Ruby / Sapphire That's what Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is for. Its the same as anyher Pokemon but 2 vs 2 So what, with the DS' online caability, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl might be online

well, i was surprised that a shedinja was used with one of the trainers on MT. battle. It was an easy win and good EVs for my groudon. it now is lvl 100 with 600+ attack stat. I can't wait for an online poemon game so i can cahllange other people insted of the CPU.

The reviews said it sucked (I think GS gave it a 5.7), but I actually enjoyed the game. I don't trust their reviews or those of most sites like that. They gave bad reviews to Virtua Quest when it's a pretty good game. The reviews here are accurate since no game company has their hand in bribing us for points, or has the obligation to somewhat match the reviews of competitors' magazines or site reviews. Would this game be a good stand-alone game for someone who doesn't have Pok'emon Ruby / Sapphire That's what Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is for. So instead of just losing the old features, starting with the new games while they're fresh might not be so bad. Then I won't be burdened by being the only one who doesn't have Ruby & Saphhire to import Pok'emon from since it can't be done (though I still haven't heard of any of them past #251 since Silver, if the numbering system remains the same)

Y'know, purifying these pokemon is such a pain. It takes too long to make tyranitar a good pokemon

Cause Tyranitar is wicked strong.

Just walk to village to village that also knocks the thing down

But it doesn't bring it down as fast. Battling is the fastest way to go, but it still takes too long. It's kinda why I'm always hoping for them to be in Hyper mode.
Let's see, as of right now, I put Tyranitar aside. I decided to work on the easier pokemon first, so I'm purifying Yanma at the moment. I think yanma are kind of cool. Hmm... odd though. I didn't really like yanma when i first learned about them in pokemon silver
