Is there any way to be able to view the thing in Netscape? I use 7.1 because of the tabbed browsing, etc.[ actually, mostly just the free e-mail -- ], and it only comes up in IE.

Netscape has free email that (used to?) come with your aim account. There's been a new policy about cloding and deleting all your email every time you don't check your mail for a month though. From what I heard, there are other browsers with tabbed windows such as MyIE2 but I've never tried any of them yet.

Wow, these are nifty! They could do for a little less pixellation though...maybe a touchup in PS7?

Wow, these are nifty! They could do for a little less pixellation though...maybe a touchup in PS7? The pixel thing is because they are scaled proportionally 300% of their original size. I don't know how to use PSP7 or PSD due to the bloated options they drown me in. I can't figure out how to do a simple thing such as read how many pixels wide and high an image is let alone any other useful stuff simple Paint can do. But the images have not been modified from the game so atleast know that the cards in Sonic Battle will look exactly as they do here (just a 1/3 of the size).

Hmm...I would be willing to touch-up the source image on my comp if you like. I do lots of digital editing, so I'm rather experienced.
But I have one question beforehand: is the image scaled beforehand, like the original image looks like that, or does the page format automatically scale it? Because if the original is not scaled, then I can't really do anything.

The page is displaying them exactly 3 times their original size. In other words, each pixel is now 3x3 pixels. The board has not done any additional scaling. Touching up may cause a problem since the images are meant to be small. It's not just one big image, it's 17 small images that have been split up as inserts and background repeats. It would most likely cause a bloated palette issue. And they have to remain as gif images for transparency around the edges, definately no jpeg images. The best option would probably be finding an even pattern to work with to smooth the pixels around the edges (best done manually unless I design my own image transformation engine).

I have to scroll the page over too much. The avatars are too big. What is your screen resolution? If you can, send me a pic of the screen as your computer shows it (maybe you have more toolbars than I do taking up more screen space, or maybe a different browser). I don't know how severe the height issue is, so please show me all you can.

Just FYI, I use 1024x768, and there's still empty space on the sides. So it works fine for me.

Hmm, these do look pretty cool. A little big, but cool. And I dunno about the pixelated look-- I kind of like it. Gives a real techno-esque feel.

I honestly don't know which I like better. Maybe I can try to blend the colors just slightly to get rid of pixelation on that new one, but the old one looks cool too.

They're really cool, but it'd be nice if they were smaller, though. Instead of putting the avator text on the card, why not put it below it?

I think it looks better in the card. And I have a question: What are the rank levels on these? Because I have 3 stars normally, but only 2 here...I'm just curious as to what they are.

I never thought of that, but it would have to be below the avator if it were really avator text. If it weren't in the card, it wouldn't stick out much if it weren't contained in it. I think it looks better in the card. And I have a question: What are the rank levels on these? Because I have 3 stars normally, but only 2 here...I'm just curious as to what they are. That's a surprise! Check the last post by me on the first page

I agree with you both, it does look better on the card, but I think it could still look good below it. Is it possible that there might be more room for avator text below the card?

The changes to the Battle Cards are as follows: - Smoothed out the design (I did this manually in Paint).
If you use a resolution smaller than 1024x768, you'll have to put " " (without the quotes) into your avator text or display name. It shows up as a space, which isn't really noticable. Since it would create scrollbars on those resolutions, it's not enabled automatically. 1024x768 (and higher) users will have it enabled by default. If you don't understand, just ask me and I'll enable it for you.
- If your avator text is too big, it will skip you.

Wow, how did I miss this page? Anyways it is really sweet. Let me see how my avatar looks...
baaah...now I have to find a good Avatar that looks like Tykin...I hate doing this but it must be done. To the internet search!
I'm not sure if someone else asked this or if I missed something some where, but why do some posters have no card?

To the internet search! I'm not sure if someone else asked this or if I missed something some where, but why do some posters have no card? As a new security feature, the Battle Card effects will skip a user if it encounters something that it can't work with (Guests, too big avator text, etc). It ensures stability. . If it tried to find the word "Posts" in a Guest's post then it would report an error and then the script would die on the page (meaning any user beyond that post would have no card). And we all know what happens if someone's avator text is too big, it stretches everything.
