I completely believe in God (Catholic, BTW). Has anything ever happened to you or to someone you know that's completely inexplicable, perhaps something that got you out of a really sticky situation with no real harm done? That's a miracle. I think God is around, and he does help us. And besides, there's gotta be SOMEBODY "out there" looking out for us all. In this world, we all need someone to trust.

This is kinda pointless...after all, we aren't video game characters ourselves, RIGHT?

I'll be happy to review anyone's website. Just PM me with the URL and I'll get right on it. Basically I'll give it a thorough look-through, offer advice on graphics/layout/content, tell you a few more suggestions, etc. A little critique never hurt anyone, eh? It's free, except there's one tiny catch -- you have to tell me what you think of MY site, Prower Power. Not a ten-page review, just a few comments. Or at least visit.

Site design is a mix of graphics and code. Whenever I make a web design, I usually spend awhile scratching it out in MSPaint, maybe adding a bit more of effects in Serif PhotoPlus 5.5 I'd know nothing about PaintShop Pro, though -- I can't afford anything near its price! There is this one website called AtomicLearning.com which has video tutorials for plenty of things -- however, much of the tutorials are for "members only" and you have to get a paid subscription for those. PSP might be there for free. Try it out.

Just took a look at your site...if you're looking for feedback I've looked at it and tried to give you good information to fix anything wrong or make anything else better. - Rather haphazard design...the columns in the pages don't really work so well to make it look good. Having things like the table which says, "Everything you need to know about Sonic and his friend, you can find here. You can get character bios, the games they appeared in. " placed around makes it look like a hodgepodge of randomly-stuck pieces. - You need some form of navigation between the pages, so that one doesn't have to hit "Back" and scroll through the main page to get to them. You could try placing a table of links on the top or to the left of the rest of the site. Take my site, Prower Power, as an example, if you like (http://www.techsonic.net/prowerpower). - The titles for each page are their URLs minus the ".html" Might want to give them actual titles. - Spelling/grammar checks would probably work wonders. I've seen sentence fragments all over, repeated parts of sentences, etc. - Make sure that the background isn't hostile and that it doesn't make it hard to read. The Sonic Heroes Info page has the classic grey-scale image of Tails tiled all over the background, but it's distracting and makes it slightly harder to read the text. I advise sticking with a solid background colour over the pages. - Keep the design of each page the same! It's distracting to have different layouts and colour choices for each link a person clicks on, and draws attention away from the design. - Correction on the Sonic Battle page ( I think ): Wasn't Sonic the Fighters a Sonic battle game? Also, teaming up two players as once: you could say that playing Sonic and Tails in Sonic 2 at the same time (with or without a 2nd person to lead Tails along) could count. Plus, three of the images on the 'Battle page don't show up. - Otherwise, I'm glad someone is putting up Sonic game info, since I myself have no real access to anything fresh. BTW, instead of using the Yahoo PageBuilder to create a site, try learning regular HTML -- it's easy, it's good for troubleshooting errors, and you can also do much more than any What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get(WYSIWYG) editors. www.htmlgoodies.com is one good place to start. You can also get a program that helps you out a bit in editing HTML code, such as one called Matrix Y2K( from www.crystalfibers.com ).

DTDs are complicated tho, I didn't understand an "explanation" of them in XML for Dummies at all...

Now, if you're going to MAKE an image, instead of post it up, you just grab MSPaint, or Photoshop, or Paintshop, or another free or expensive graphics program and start drawing...MSPaint is how I've made all my graphics, since I can't afford anything else('cept that freebie ). But I'm looking into US$60 Adobe Photoshop Essentials. : ;D I myself only code in HTML, although perhaps someday I'll sit down with an XML rules guide and write my own DTD(Document.Type.Definition). Hm, what shall I call it? MTIVOTXML My.Totally.Idiotic.Version.Of.The.xTensible.Mark-up.Language Or maybe not...

Active members is usually the restriction of "You must log in at least once every (such-and-such) days." But there's also the restriction of "We don't care about you users -- go away."

And my advice is still not reliable. BRPXQZME Network, now at www.brpxqzme.net, offers webhosting again, after being down. I haven't gotten any word back from the guy at DigiBase. And Webhostingpal.com turned its tail and just now cancelled my account, redirecting all URLs on its site to a paid wbehosting company as well. But I've gotten hosted on TechSonic.net, like XFox. So try that out.

Um...in 3 days, if I don't get word back from Digibase, I need a week of emergency hosting... Which isn't good. HELP ME!!!
Nevermind, my site, prowerpower.webhostingpal.com/or simply Prower Power, was launched yesterday, 9th December, 2003. I'm hosted on Webhostingpal.com. You get a subdomain URL, 50 megs of space, 4.88 gigs of bandwidth, FTP, no ads! Seems great so far...but who can tell?

I need to make a correction... A low-skill website is probably the best on BRPX.NET, but larger ones I wouldn't recommend. Server goes down for a day or two at a time every few weeks, having to e-mail the guy to activate a script is quite lame, and you can't get him to activate an account for several days. So once again I'm looking for a webhost, with 5 days 'til Prower Power's launch. But I found a good-looking one called DigiBase: digibase.ns01.info:90/index.php

Heh, I found a perfect free one. BRPX.net, hosted by a guy named BRPXQZME. It's totally free, unlimited space/bandwidth, all the good stuff with no catches, for $0.00 a month, $0.00 a year, and $0.00 a century. NO ADS, take that Tripod, Angelfire, etc. www.brpx.net/~username domains, and the only catch is that he has to activate all CGIs you place so you don't mess up the server on accident -- pretty good precaution, really.

The way that I learned HTML was from HTMLGoodies.com, a free website of tutorials from HTML to JavaScript to PERL to anything else that has to do with a website and HTML. The tutorials are the easiest things around! I'm also planning to write a few of my own sometime by next summer at the latest(or best, depending on what happens to Prower Power by then) and post 'em on my site. But HTMLGoodies is your best bet for now. And no offense to ya, XFox, but I never really read your HTML tutorial either.

Speaking of Tails in Sonic X... One of my issues with Sonic X(with the others listed below as well) is that he was, in the pilot, given a teenage body, at least. But the voice didn't match him at all. So by the 2nd ep it's changed to that he looks like someone under the age of 10. But the voice still sounds like that of a 5-year-old girl. Major issue. *bleh* Other issues I have with Sonic X: Terrible plots Overused comedy None of the voice actors fit Actions of plenty of the characters are not understandable at plenty of times, and other times downright absurd. Terrible plots. Absolutely cheesy. And did I mention the terrible plots? Overall, I'm almost hoping that Sonic X fails. The earlier Sonic TV series(especially SatAM) deserved a chance at more than a season or two. But this is something designed only to fit the stereotypical modern kid -- action and stuff so stupid it takes only half a second to comprehend -- plus everything else designed to be stupid enough the kids won't notice how stupid it is.

Neat. Certainly shows that Sonic doesn't have to save the day every time, Tails can handle a lot of it. And way to go with test-wasting...I'd probably write something like that in Algebra myself. ;D

I've just read the first 1 and a half chapters...nice! Much better quality-wise than most of the stuff that you see on FanFiction.net, too. Usually I'm wary of going to read a story there...it seems mostly to be a repository for stuff that's made by people in 5 seconds who got an "FZQ" grade on their Literature/English tests. But this is something I think I'll read the whole way through!

My first Sonic-devoted website, Prower Power, has been online for approximately two weeks, on one webhost and now a second. Pp is devoted to Miles "Tails" Prower, of course! I'm also making sure that I'll always cover the other areas of the Soniverse because there's no way to put everything in as Tails without large portions being connected to other parts of the Soniverse. Currently online are probably a dozen or so sections, a few being skeleton pages for the moment, ranging from Tails Information(of course) to an IRC chat page to an old and deranged Sonic comic of mine, Sonic City. On the updates page is a list of opportunities to become part of the "staff" [currently only myself -- ] as well, because I don't have enough skill to make some sections good enough(especially certain images). We've been graciously hosted on TechSonic.net after Webhostingpal.com cancelled all of its free hosting accounts[including my own, the fools. ]. Message board will be forthcoming, as well. Our slogan is EtPop -- "Embrace the Power of Prower...." -- so come and see! www.techsonic.net/prowerpower/home.html

I'm not very popular at all, so my opinions really wouldn't have much sway over my peer group... However, I think that they really don't know what they're talking about; on a few occasions I've asked if they've played the games and they deny it...'don't know what they're missing, jerks they are. When I'm out of sight I imagine beating the heck outta 'em.

If someone killed Tails, then I'd kill them!
And then I'd stumble off to die of depression, since my favourite Sonic character(actually, tied with Sonic) would be gone.

It depends on the universe, of course. I tend with a hidden piece of genetic code or pollution-caused birth defects; others say he's "Tails the Kitsune;"* still others it's his ancestry.
Mutations develop over a long period of time, right? You notice them gradually, they don't just pop up after 1 generation.
*"Kitsune" is Japanese for "fox," although it is usually associated with a being of spiritual power apparently.

I accidentally voted 7-10 years old... But I've been a Soniverse-in-general fan since around age 11, when I discovered the SEGA GameGear and thusly Sonic the Hedgehog. My shift from major-Sonic-fan to major-Tails-fan occured around the past year, and it's what led me to create Prower Power. So around 11.75 years, to be a bit specific.

I can't remember whether I posted in here a wihle back or not... I'm trending toward the idea that Tails is too young to "pair up" at this point. But I do think that he and Amy or he and Cream would look rather cute together ( Amy would depend on whether she ever gave up chasing Sonic or not ). How old are Sonic and Knuckles now, anyway, if Tails is 12 in SA?
