After this video I think I'm still getting the Wii version to add with my other Sonic games. I didn't even know that it was the Wii version until the white A button showed up, it looks great! Plus you're going a buck anyway so the areas are just flashing by. The Wii can stabilize a framerate easier too, so I'm counting on that over the 360 version. I trust Dimps (Sonic Advance/Rush) more than Sonic Team (Sonic Next/Shadow) also. Sonic is more of the blue he is named after too (A shade of blue was officially named Sonic Blue in the mid 90's, Sonic has been mostly that color since), he is very light blue in the next gen. This shot shows the Wii version well vs the nice 360 shot underneath.
It's too bad there aren't any other charries. I wanna another game where you can play all the charries like back in Sonic Adventure. But this game looks good enough to buy. At least it looks good enough. Won't know til I play it.
This is the one where he makes the funny screaming sound when speeds up though right? That's something I wish they would drop. It's gonna get annoying real fast.
So... (yes, I know I'm double-posting, but I wanna bump stuff to sorta make em active)
I've been trying to work on the Wii Unleashed. I haven't gotten too far in it yet. But at least it's not making me want to slam my head against a wall. And I don't see why they leave Knuckles out of this game completely.
I prefer using the gamecube controller rather than the wii-mote for this game. But it still bothers me that when I attack monsters in werehog...er... manhog...whatever form, I seem to sometimes just go completely through them. And I wish there were more day time levels. I seem to spend more time in werehog form than anything else, but all I want to do is just run fast through the levels.
The ending of Sonic Unleashed, at least on the 360 console, was more difficult than it should have been. The werehog mode and the final boss were probably the worst parts of the game itself. The running stages on the other hand, were godly. That's what Sonic is supposed to be!
Sonic - 1. Of or relating to audible sound: a sonic wave. 2. Having a speed approaching or being that of sound in air, about 1,220 kilometers (760 miles) per hour at sea level. 3. Slang Extremely exciting and fast-paced: a sonic lifestyle.
Sonic Unleashed could have been a better game if some guy didn't implement the annoying werehog mode and lame controls during the final boss battles.
It had a great sound track, wonderful graphics, amusing dialogue for the most part, but sketchy game play and certain, unneeded elements.
