New Sonic game for the console. Seems it's Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Here are screenshots from Sega PortalBefore you get amazed, it seems it plays like Secret Rings. And Sonic has a werewolf form. I just wanna know what the hell that look Sonic's dishing out in the first pic on top.

Well I kinda enjoyed The Secret Rings, but from what I hear about this game and see it, it just kinda looks.... boring....
Well, I won't be very excited about this game, and that's that.

Sega confirming their failure on their 3D attempts:
"rebuild the Sonic brand and prove it could work in 3D environments"
Also Tails and Knuckles are confirmed characters, but dunno if they rip off Zelda as Sonic is with wolf forms as well. There's a trailer online, but its pretty bad quality with a Coming Soon on the end, making the trailer bogus cause Sega, as any other company, wouldn't dare show off a trailer looking like that.
And I'm skeptic until further confirmation that a Wii version is confirmed, no consoles named as of now, but these are high spec and high definition shots. Of course I believe its on Wii just cause of the very good selling Secret Rings, the million+(Edit: 5 MILLION+) selling Mario & Sonic and Sonic's involvement in that little Smash Bros thing that seems to be mildly successful (Sonic Riders 2 gets a bye cause that just sucked). Plus I bet the 2 Nintendo versions of Sega Superstar Tennis will sell more than the other next gen systems as well as NiGHTS and Samba de Amigo on Wii sort of helps.

It's more than 'official' now for with GameStop is starting reserves(They sometimes screw up and start reserves of games not announced yet, like last years Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition). It's also going to be on the cover of the Official Nintendo Magazine in a few months, so a Wii version is 'confirmed' as well. Of course I expect anything's game until Sega actually opens their mouth. And seeing the Sonic community as of late, they need to do it soon.

I don't know... but is it me or is the one of the few reasons they are still around is because of Sonic Team. And it seems like Sonic is more and more getting Involved with Nintendo, hell I wouldn't of been surprised if Sonic was in Mario Kart. I don't know why, but I could easily see Nintendo trying to buy out Sonic Team, and have them become a part of Nintendo instead of Sega. But that is just my opinion.

W-Werewolf form? Dear Lord.
Personally, I've just about lost faith in the Sonic series. Unless this and Dark Brotherhood turn out to be great...then I'm done buying new Sonic games. The series has been beaten to the ground over and over, and I'm tired of getting my hopes up for a game that's just going to fail my expectations.

Sadly enough, we're seeing a PS2 version as well as the 3 next gens, from GameStop. That really pisses me off knowing my Wii version will be a PS2 port.

Honestly... My world is shattered. I will never see the world the same way again. Honestly, Sonic games are being pumped out left and right. I think more games have come out now, then back in the day. A lot more.

Oh man, why did I have to see that picture. Forget it, if they resorting to making Sonic have a werewolf form, well then, it just shows that they could care less about the game...

I think that I will go upstairs and play the original Sonic the Hedgehog on my GBA. But I don't know where my GBS or DS went to. lol
But from watching game play, you can tell that they are trying to bring back the original feel of the environments, but I don't know if it can work anymore. I honestly don't know...

I just don't know why they can't just make a Sonic game like they did in the old days. Little to no story, small selection of characters (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles), no voice acting, Robotnik at the end of every level, really cool ideas for levels (I'd even settle for rehashing at this point), fun special stages, NO BOTTOMLESS PIT SYNDROME! That's what killed Sonic Rush for me, along with the addition of Blaze.
Come on, Sonic Team, you've done this right on the Genesis, the GBA, and even on the Dreamcast/Gamecube (Sonic Adventure 1/2 were actually pretty good), why can't you just go back to your roots, and forget about trying to innovate the series. Do what you did for Sonic Advance, but just put it all on a big screen with great graphics. Don't add any extra bullcrap, you hit gold on the first Sonic Advance, just do that with the graphical power of the next-gen consoles.
...Sorry about the rant there. That's been coming for a few years now.

I'm used to this type of rant, and hell I agree in most parts. The same goes for Castlevania and Mega Man and even though Nintendo struck gold with Prime, Metroid can use a good 2D one also.
I'm glad you put Adventure in the mix cause they were great platformers. But I also have to say that Bioware's RPG isn't the same either, but I believe it'll be the best Sonic game in years. I loved the Mario series as a kid with Mario Bros 1,2,3, Land 1,2, World, Wario land and Yoshi's Island, but when Square made Mario RPG, I was blown away of how different and excellent it was. I would like it if Sonic did more than platformers as well as excel in more 2D ones, a great spinoff can change a series too.

Sega FINALLY announces Unleashed. All 4 aforementioned platforms are confirmed (Damn PS2). .............................................It's 2D. OMG I think they got it. Now granted, it switches to 3D ala Secret Rings from time to time but it's based on 2D. THANK YOU, IT TOOK YOU HOW MANY 4/10 GAMES TO REALIZE THIS? Honestly I'm leaning on the 360 version like the trailer, Look like its using Havok for its physics and everything it nice looking, how I fear for the Wii version suffering. Trailer

The same goes for Castlevania and Mega Man and even though Nintendo struck gold with Prime, Metroid can use a good 2D one also. Going off-topic slightly, but I feel that Castlevania's still been going strong. Portrait of Ruin is my favorite game in the series (Don't ask me why, though), and a lot of the newest games are pretty great, like Curse of Darkness and Dracula X Chronicles. With Mega Man, they struck gold with the Zero series. If it was only easier, it would be the perfect Mega Man game. Other than that, I completely agree. And yes, we do need a new Metroid 2D, Prime 3 was just...no. Getting back to the conversation at hand, THANK YOU GOD. Now only if they can drop the "Werehedgehog" thing, than we may have a winner on our hands. That, plus The Dark Brotherhood, and the series may just have a chance. EDIT: That trailer looked glorious.

Great on handhelds, but a console one..... You could of said the same about Sonic on GBA and DS. They're striking gold, but what if it a nasty looking one on 360? Back on topic: Also before the announcement, Tails and Knuckles are supposed to be playable. Nothing official confirms this, but no one said they were playable (along with 6 other characters) in Sonic Next until after it came out.

So, Dr. Robotnik breaks apart the world? Is it something like Star Fox Adventures with Sauria, or what?
Well, I'm sure the Doc's high-fiving himself over this, it's pretty much his most shining achievement, like, ever.

Just reading the press release actually has me somewhat excited. I'm still a bit iffy on the werehog. But then again, this might be something that will actually revive Sonic and company here. ..... They better not find a way to screw up camera angles in 2D.
So day and night play differently? I'm liking that part. Now... I'm wondering if there's going to be a Super Sonic werewolf in this too...

They showed off the Xbox 360 version of Unleashed and from the looks of it, seems great. IGN has a great article on it that feels like it was toward Sonic fans and people who abandoned it. I'm personally still debating Wii vs. 360 on this. Dimps is recreating the game on Wii and PS2 while Sonic Team is doing the next gen versions. Wii version got props though because what's great is that's the Wii version in Nunchuk/GCN/Classic compatible. Of course Sonic Riders 2 was GCN supported also and heh.... still sucked.

They showed off the Xbox 360 version of Unleashed and from the looks of it, seems great. url=http://wii.ign.com/articles/874/874207p1.html]IGN has a great article on it that feels like it was toward Sonic fans and people who abandoned it.
I'm wondering which to choose too. This is why it hasn't made my preorder list. Games released on multiple consoles have always had their quirks. Sonic Heroes is one example, in which some ports had glitches. That's a gameplay flaw. There's also marketing flaws. Think back to some Need for Speed Underground comercials. At the end, you'd see that it was available on PS2, Gamecube, and Gameboy Advance. The footage shown was obviously not the GBA game. What bugs me now is to see a game released on multiple consoles including Wii. Not that I'm a Wii elitist. Wii's unique functionality is great for games that were made for it. But many of these games were not made with the Wii in mind. They port it to the Wii and then throw in some Wii-specific gimicks that become part of the gameplay. These are often not very well planned and may even make the game less enjoyable than the other ports. Sonic Riders 2 could have fallen into this category if they didn't allow for multiple control setups, such using a Gamecube controller. But some features the Wii port had that the others didn't had minimal effort. Imagine real online play rather than just a leaderboard and ghost downloads. Each console has their different features. But for multi-port releases, they're going to look at the lowest common denominator that each share as a common ground. I'll wait for the reviews most likely. I wouldn't expect amazing controls for the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed or superior graphics for the PS3 and 360 versions either. Just the thought of the game being made available on both PS2 and PS3 doesn't seem comforting.

The game looks very impressive on 360 and it has achievements as well, but I ALWAYS must buy Sonic games on Nintendo systems since the GameCube/GBA days. Of course if ones available(unlike Rivals and Sonic 2006). Sega Superstars Tennis I eventually got on Wii because it went on sale first(GameStop has all versions $20 at the moment). The controls felt thrown in, but the game's responsive and the motions work, so I must say the Wii version plays well, but it's nothing a button press wouldn't do. I'll prob get it on Wii just for the fact that it's on Wii. But they haven't shown Wii footage yet, but if it's anythign like Sega Superstars, it'll look fine, game looks pretty good on Wii. Another thing that we haven't seen yet is the werewolf Sonic bit. Here's some 360 shots.
