It has been announced. GCN exclusive. Sonic CD (wow they listened!) and Sonic the Fighters (Finally we can play it!!) are in it with a bunch others.

The PS series is indeed probably out of the question, especially given the fact that it's already planned to redo them for the PS2. I've seen screenshots, and it looks beautiful.

That sounds great! Finally, a collection of the games I don't have. ;D At the same time you should remember, these are later, more advanced games, so they might not have as many of them. One disk only holds so much, especially if it's a Gamecube disk. Personally I'm doubting that Sonic Shuffle could be squeezed on. Not to say I actually know anything about the true capacity of any of the disks though; it's just a guess of mine. Anyways, It'd be perfect to finally get this chance to play Sonic CD, Sonic the Fighters, maybe Sonic R and Chaotix, etc.... (Just remember, they can go back on anything until it's officially announced.)

Sonic Adventure DX held Sonic Adventure and like 8 Game Gear Games. The Arcade games are like no memory, with compressin these days, we really dunno what these disks can hold.

The Gamecube disks hold about 1.3 Gig.

No, 1.5 GB, but let´s hope they got a better emulator than the last one for Sonic CD! (I would tell the whole story about it on Sonic Mega Collection and then dissapearing, but I don´t feel like it now)

Excuse me? GCN exclusive? THAT is stupidity of hitherto unrealised heights! Sonic Mega Collection Plus (What I have at the moment), was bad enough! Why the heck did they put the inferior version of Flickies Island on the CD? They've developed weak titles (Heroes), stuffed up "retro-titles" (SMCP), then given Shadow a gun.... so with this step they have finally hit the "We = idiots" level. SOMEONE has to tell them to start taking their games seriously, as well as their fans! They're doing what SQUARE-ENIX did with FFXI!! Now they're going to release a title that many PS2 owners will definitely want... on Game cube only. The precipice of imbecility.
Sorry for that... I REALLY wanted Sonic R. Looks like I'll have to buy a GCN after all.

Hey this is like 1 of 3 GCN exclusives by third parties! Sonic Team is still favorites with Nintendo. PSU will go to the Revolution in some time.

besides whats already in the mega collections, I would like EVERY Sonic game ever made on there. It doesnt matter how crappy any of the games are, I just want to be able to play them. Im not sure how much they could fit on a GC disc, though they could always use 2. -sigh-, I can dream cant I?

Sonic CD, eh? I loved that game and am probably going to buy this collection just for it... I still have the original CD for the PC, but it won't run whatever I try.

Then it'll be rated T for Teen. A Sonic collection cant have that rating. It will destroy them cause the Sonic demographic(kids) could not get this game.
UPDATE! Sonic Gems Collection will come out August 16th!!! Not that much longer! Same day as Geist...

You can find demos of the PC version most anywhere, as well as patches to make it work on XP, if that is your problem.

Sonic Shuffle was fun. I loved playing it. The only problem is, I think I had a reject copy of it or something. It kept destroying my dreamcasts. I finally had to stop playing it, but I miss that game.

Sonic Gems Collection has gotten me excited... after all, it has SONIC CD... that alone is worth 20 bucks, if you ask me. But no, Sega doesn't stop there, they give us Sonic R and Sonic the Fighters (I own Sonic R for PC, and I already played the fighting game... but oh well)! Plus we get... uh... 6 game gear games you already unlocked in Sonic Adventure DX....! And Vectorman! I'm sorry, but I LOVED Vectorman, and I'm happy that the US release gets that over Streets of Rage. But that's probably just me. Here's what I don't get.... why not have the japanese soundtrack of SOnic CD in Sonic Gems Collection? Or atleast have it unlockable? That'd make perfect sense, since so many fans prefer Sonic CD's japanese soundtrack as opposed to the US soundtrack. And another stupid move on Sega's part... we get the japanese version of Sonic the Fighters rather than the good ol' American version that was releaed in arcades (which I've played). If we had the American version, it'd be called "Sonic Championship", and that weasel from Triple Trouble would be called by the name we all know him by, "Nack". Meanwhile, in the japanese "Sonic the Fighters", he's called "Fang". So basically, if you play "Sonic: Triple Trouble" in Gems Collection, the weasel will be named "Nack". Meanwhile, if you play "Sonic the Fighters" in Gems Collection, the same character will be named "Fang". Sheesh. ;
