Is it me or were the levels from SA1 less linear than Sa2's? I think more levels in future games should be based on SA1's style of level design, rather than SA2's, or even SH's. ;D This would make it almost look like an RPG!!

I think they were less linear but they were still linear nonetheless. I think its not really how stright a stage is that intrests me, its the action that is invoved in it insted. *Points to Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Megadrive.* The originals was the most linear and action packed. ;D

charactors like sonic and Tails were always the best in their classics.
and yeah, SA 1 was less linear, but SA 2 focused on having multiple paths or so.

The most non-linear part of SA2; Pyramid Cave, when you have to go get the key that is off to the left of the path. WOW!

There's a reason they made games 3-d. Sure the originals were pretty straight-up, but now we can do more than that. More time is usually spent on games nowdays, too.
