This is more than a cult system, anyone who had one can remember the love it gave all those years ago. Man I miss it with a passion. I remember getting it at launch with Sonic Adventure, my favorite Sonic game to this day. Good hardcore games cam out for it, and new series bloomed on it as well. I'm looking at the collection. I sadly never cared after getting my GameCube 2 years later, but I did continuing getting games for it like Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Bangai-O.

I got my Dreamcast the Christmas it came out, along with Sonic Adventure. My cousin and I spent, like, two hours trying to beat Chaos 0, but our minds were totally blown when we got to Emerald Coast. Sonic in true 3-D! You know how you felt when you finally played Mario 64, and saw the entire thing in 3-D? Well, playing Emerald Coast that first time totally blew ours, like twice more so.
The only other games I got for the Dreamcast was Incoming!, which was actually a really cool game, and Sonic Adventure 2, which a friend burned for me. I didn't quite beat Incoming! (One level always gave me trouble, so I cheated past it), but I still love it. SA2, of course, is pretty cool.
Right now, my Dreamcast is gathering dust in the drawer of my house's guest room. I don't quite know if I'll ever take it out again, but I may feel a pang for playing Incoming! again, or I could see Marvel vs. Capcom 2 in a bargain bin somewhere, unless MAME finally picks up the slack and emulates it....

I'd still really like to get one of these, and plan to get around to buying one soon. It seemed like it was a great system, that failed for kinda a dumb reason in my eyes, I wonder what kind of game we would have got if it would have stuck around a little longer.
Off topic, but I wonder the same for the Saturn lol, that was more of the cult system though XD
