This is a new Wii exclusive Sonic game. Other than that it's on the cover of the new Nintendo Power, not much other than that (And Dead Rising's hitting Wii in America I guess too....)

I scrounged up some new info, it's looks like a sequel to Secret Rings because he's in a book like Sonic's first Wii outing.
Sonic returns to the Wii™ on a wild ride through a storybook world of Arthurian legend in his all-new adventure, Sonic and the Black Knight™. Designed exclusively for the Wii, Sonic and the Black Knight brings a new twist to Sonic gameplay by combining Sonic’s legendary speed with frenetic swordplay action that makes full use of the unique Wii control system.
In this strange, enchanted medieval world, Sonic wields a sword in his effort to save the day. Encountering many friends and foes along the way, Sonic shows them what it takes to be a true hero and the ultimate knight. Master the sword and unravel the mystery behind this intriguing adventure…
Check out the September issue of Nintendo Power for the full scoop on Sonic and the Black Knight!

Oh god, swords? Why? D':
Just reminds me of Shadow the Hedgehog, why the hell is Sonic using swords now? =/
I never know though, could be fun...

This could all turn very bad. It's like, "Oh, let's take Sonic and stick him in a game where he can pretend he's Link." Yeah, that's what it feels like. And I do keep thinking it's gonna be just like when they made the Shadow the Hedgehog game. But maybe we'll be lucky and it might actually be decent. I guess I can always give it the benefit of the doubt. But I'm almost afraid to.

The Sonic Stadium has already yanked all the info from the Nintendo Power (and it's a lot more than I thought) and dumped it on their blog part of their site.Looks like Nunchuk setup since its analog stick controlled. It actually sounds really cool if everything is implemented correctly.

The line at the end gives me hope: ”…the team behind Sonic and the Black Knight is keenly aware of the franchise’s past missteps, and their enthusiasm for doing right by the series is infections”
I gotta say, this actually looks pretty good. If they do this right, it could be a pretty darn cool Sonic game. I really hope they don't screw this one up.
