IGN has constructed the full story in one easy to swallow story on the development of Sonic post S&K and pre-Dreamcast where the hedgehog was pretty absent in a new big adventure. Where Sega of America was developing the game, without Japanese support(including Sonic Team and Yuji Naka), the differnet console it had to be reworked for and more. Pretty screwed up story on how Sega was at that time frame, during a civil war that ended up resulting in the Sega of today.

Yep, that was a screwed up story all right. It's too bad that game had not come out though. That would have been something interesting to see. So is he really trying to make up for that game way back when? I kinda wanna see what's gonna happen in the near future.

Really makes you wonder about what Sonic would be like today if Sega had survived their civil war a little better. Maybe it wouldn't be as screwed up as it is today, maybe it could have kept most of the, well, magic it had right up until Sonic Adventure 2, when it started going downhill for me. I knew some of the story already, but the article really made it all clear. *sigh* I hope Chris Senn fares better with his Project S, I think that would be very interesting to see.
