Yea its completely excellent in almost every way. And in 17 hours I unlocked everybody. Working on the stages now. Sadly the Subspace unlocks everyone you haven't except for a few. Subspace was alright too, You can tell its these guys who did it, reeks of Kirby platforming. Other than no storytelling and the lame enemies, this was a happy inclusion. I just wished that we dealt with something a bit more standard and not some wacked out army attacking everything. No voice acting(hell, no text even) or any real cutscenes just add questions. Online is fantastic, if only I can ditch the 2 Minute limit and have stock matches. You can punch Sandbag while ytou wait for your match to start, but waiting takes longer than the match itself, but I like doing something while waiting for matches in online games like Halo or Call of Duty.
I'm officially sick of the theme song of this game, it's like 70% of the game, you listen to that song or remixes of it.
My best characters are Ike, Ganondorf and Link, but I really can be well suited with anyone cause how this game feels.
So what do you guys think?

Well it's my new favorite game on the Wii now. Melee was great, and this beats it in every way for me. I have yet to beat the Subspace, I liked the adventure mode in Melee, but it's really just alright now. One of my favorite new things to do now is create a stage, it's limited, but it can be really fun, at least for me. The online is also great, just haven't really done it that much because I suck compared to people online lol.
We should plan out the TAMB Tournament soon.

Have you snapped with sonic yet? I heard he's hard to use...
and also, how long does it take to get through SSE normal dificulty?

I did SSE in Very Hard, it took roughly 8 hours. Sonic, like everyone else, is very well made. His crucial weakness is that he doesn't have a powerful attack that'll KO anybody. He's a lot of fun though and has some of the best taunts in the game. Also something extremely cool. IGN has launched the Super Smash Bros World channel. Now when you make a level, you can upload it to a SD card and post it on their site and you can take other levels that people make and pop them in your card! There's a lot of great levels already. MAKE LEVELS, there are achievements to unlock for making 5 and 15 levels and playing on them! There are also ways of having voice chat with friends (I knew this a long time ago), but requires using Private chat or game lobbies on your Xbox 360, the PlayStation Network has a chat option, Skype, Team Speak(or the other 100 VIOP for PCs) or this thing called a phone. Believe it or not, in fighting games, they're usually laggy to hell, a lot is because of voice chat as well as other things, so be thankful this pretty fighting game isn't a lagfest online. EDIT: Apparently I unlocked all the stages too. EDIT 2: Did all the solo events (On hard) also. Last one was tough, but there's a cheap ass way (Hint: Stone Kirby spam). Will work on the last Co-op events this weekend

can you play co-op events online?

Home Run and Multi Man Brawl only. And only with friends. Wait, wasn't SSE supposed to be online too?
I'm getting frustrated with part of the game. I know Cruel Brawl is supposed to be hard, but I can't get a hit in before they mutilate me. Also when you beat SSE, you unlock Bosses mode, where you fight all the bosses of SSE as well as Both of the Hands. I'm on easy with my best character and cannot win. These two are co-opable but it shouldn't mean it's impossible for one person. And if one player dies, both lose instantly.

OMG the best thing is an easter egg in Brawl.
I was disappointed that Snake has one taunt, the box. But he has like 35. Play on Shadow Moses as Snake and press down on the D Pad for taunting, it's tricky but if you get the taunt right(or spam down like I do), something good will happen with him and relating to your opponent. Do it with every character, including individual ones for Shiek and Zero Suit Samus! But have 2 human characters cause if Snake gets hit, it stops. Note: To get all inside jokes, you need to know a lot of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3. Ironic that you need knowledge on PlayStation games to know an easter egg in the most holiest of Nintendo games. As you may know, I'm both an avid fan of both Metal Gear Solid and Nintendo, so this was the best thing for me since I first played Metal Gear Solid with the first Nintendo/Kojima collaboration, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Pisses me off that even when I see Snake on my GameCube or now on Wii, my copy of Substance and Subsistance aren't on GameCube or Wii. Actually, it feels like hype for the mega MGS4 on PlayStation 3.
You learn a lot about some characters too. Listen to Donkey Kong or Marth's to get some new intel on them. The funniest taunts are with Luigi, Sam's Big Sexy Falco and Capt. Falcon, so if you do it, leave them for last. Snake vs. Snake was interesting and Sonic vs Snake was a bit disappointing.
---Don't read this part til after you watch them(or don't care):---
Also if you're asking who they were talking about in Meta Knight's taunt, it was the creator of Metal Gear, Hideo Kojima. His name on the cover of all his games from MGS to Boktai to Zone of the Enders. Now his development studio is named off him, Kojima Productions.

I was in the midnight line to get this game. I've been so pumped for it, except I had to leave for college on the Sunday it was released! Therefore, I only had about four hours to play the game, which I used playing SSE. I agree with ya, Marik, it is kind of disappointing, but it's still fun, especially on the Battlefield Fortress stage. Now that was a lot of fun!
I got to the stage after Zero Suit Samus' before I had to leave, so I had a chance to use some of the new characters. I have to say, I rather like Zero Suit Samus, she's not as useless as the previews made me think. I can't wait until I go back home for Easter Break, it's going to be full of Brawl!
Haven't unlocked Snake yet, but he's going to be my primary focus in the game. I personally think it would be hilarious if Campbell/Naomi/Mei yelled "SSSNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKEEE!" every time you died in a match, but I guess that's just a pipe dream.
One final thing: I absolutely loved how they remixed the Preparation tune from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones for the Battlefield Fortress. Sacred Stones is my favorite FE game by far, and I was very glad they gave it some attention. We didn't get Joshua as a playable character (The sticker is not enough!), but Ike certainly earns his place as other FE character.

Remember when I said Snake had a special taunt?, well if he gets KO'd during it, that'll happen. I also get what you're talking about with your fav FE music. This game took my fav Kirby song (Meta Knight's Revenge) fav Star Fox songs (Star Wolf theme and Area 6), fav Metroid songs(MP2's multiplayer and MP1 theme) and fav DK songs (King K Rool's Ship and Bramble Blast) as well as some fav like Open your Heart, Sonic Boom, Snake Eater, Yoshi's Island, Dedede's Castle, Kirby's Boss theme, Song of Storms, Wind Waker's Sea, Twilight Princess' theme, and the NES medley. They made all the F-Zero songs great, and the Smash theme remix in Final Destination can get the blood flowing in tough places. And Tetris' theme! The music selection was excellent, enough said.

Did anyone else experience trouble when trying to unlock characters? I remember in the first game and Melee, the characters were so easy to unlock. They are putting up so much more of a fight now. I mean, I lost once to JIGGLYPUFF! But then again.... I was Captain Olimer (yuuuck) so I wasn't used to fighting as him.
And it took me a few tries to get Toon Link, and I never beat him in the end, he killed himself. I don't know if I suck this badly after not playing video games for MONTHS or if they are more difficult. But my friend Nick said he was having a hard time unlocking some characters.
You know what I found kinda super cheesy, Falco's down taunt. He goes "D: Hands off my prey!" and I am just like "lol wut?" And i think he says "You don't wanna mess with me" with his side taunt. I'm kinda disappointed in myself though. I've only won one brawl against my brother, and I used to beat him all of the time. I don't know if I am just bad like I mentioned earlier or if I am having trouble with my controller or if I need new glasses. lol
By the way Marik, just cause you think Falco is big and sexy doesn't mean I do. =P

I managed to play Brawl for seven hours straight on Friday, at a Game Night a friend was hosting. Thankfully, someone brought a Wii with all the characters unlocked, so I could play as a lot of people. Snake's just as good as I hoped! I started kicking ass from the first time I played as him, it was as if I've been using him since Melee was released! Sonic's pretty good, too, I'm pretty good at controlling his Spin Dash, oddly enough. I've heard some more of the music, it's awesome! I really like the Metroid Main Theme, it's a great remix of the tune from Metroid Prime Pinball!

Today my frustration is again aimed at the Stadium mode. And no, not on the ridiculous Boss Battles or Multi Man, this time with Targets. I just want to know how to do Level 4 with characters like Ike and Donkey Kong(I bet Ganondorf will give me a headache too). There are two suicide targets for non projectile characters and no ledges to grasp.

That reminds me of Kirby's target smash from the first game. For some reason it was impossible to beat no matter what. Everyone who tried it at my house could never reach the last target and always died.

(i'm not sure if you can do that with Ike or not, but with the dodging and up special alone ike and get pretty, far...) Edit: Add me as a friend on the wii console, i wanna send you a video.
