Well as a few of you have said, I am Catholic too, and I'm also Catholic EVERYTHING(Catholic school, weekly Mass, I could go on.). So yes I do believe in God and I spek with him a lot due to those masses and passages.

[glow=purple,2,300]I thinks he;s afraid of the ensuing arguements I do believe there's a god, thats why the universe is here, but believe what ya wanna believe. Aruging about the existance or non existance of god is pointless as niether can be proved. The exsistance of god relies completely on faith. Without that, I don't think he exists as god anymore, he's just another thing science proved. Kinad a paradox if you look at it.[/glow] no digi, if he created the universe he wouldnt need us, he made us because he wanted to im pretty sure, so how is it a paradox?

[glow=purple,2,300]How is it a paradox? lesse, I think it is but you might and I wasn't talking about that being a paradox, I was talking about proving his existance being a paradox. If you do scientific studies to prove it, then he no longer exists as the god as we know him. If you don't prove his existance then many think he doesn't exist, so you have to do scientific studies to prove it. Then he doesn't exist as we know it............okay maybe it isn't exactly, but you get the picture[/glow]

I've never understood atheism. If one's agnostic, I can understand, but I think it's rather ignorant for somebody to dismiss the possibility that there's a higher power out there.

Why do you say that? Why should I beleive that "someone" in higher power is watching over me?

Why do you say that? Why should I beleive that "someone" in higher power is watching over me? because you have problems accepting theres a being better than you and digi theres already proof of god, you just have to look for it

no theres proof, but because of denial. youll never accept it... one, every civilization has had a flood story, 2 this much water on earth, would take longer to form than the planet has existed, because the water level stays constant, more forms slowly, really slowly,REALLY slowly, and when life forms are using it, it forms even slower, what i meant by forms was, raising the water level basically, trust me, i doubt theres any real explanation on how there got to be so much freaking water, this planet will probably be the only mostly aquatic planet out there

Maybe there is a god, but delving into that question leads to which religion is correct, most would side with the many forms of christianity, but there where many religions before christ was even born, 3 that i know of still in practice by larger groups.Christianity was just spread more, because people like to belive in eternal happiness, especially in times of weakness like when someone loses a loved one( they tried to force thier ideas on me at my little sisters funeral)I for one wouldnt want to live in a place like the christian heaven where all i felt is happiness, id feel stripped of my humanity. There is beauty in all emotions, extreme anguish, or extreme joy. if thats everyones idea of heaven, then heaven is available on earth, its called being sedated.Religion is a killer of individuality , and its worst enemy. This thread really should disappear. Its irritating. I for one believe that you should stay away from any religion that tries to force you to join(I like to call that a colt)just choose the religion that has most meaning to you.

[glow=purple,2,300]there is proof, I wasn't saying there isn't any, but its not a scientific study kinda proof which is practically the only proof non-believers will believe nowadays. I like your theory about how there's so much water on the planet. God does exist. If you believe otherwise, well that's you're opinion, but don't knock me about with it; my belief is my lifeline, literally.[/glow]

God didn't create each and every one of us... I believe he created the first two humans (uh, Adam and Eve, I guess) and they created us all. So if that theory is correct, then we all related. So everyone whom is married HAS married their siblings and fellow family members, lol. God also created the pudding cup, and shrinky dinks, lol. Yeah, I agree with you..[ uhh, how would humans create God anyway? I just don't get that.. ] It does sound like we are all realted...you'd have to think long and hard about that theroy though...

Yeah, I stick with my faith. It's not easy, but I've stayed Christian all my life. It's practically impossible to defend religious faith with scientific evidence, but there are other ways to keep myself assured that there's someone supernatural out there. Particularly, the way fate always behaves. The events and various facts of history are full of coincidences. Like with two assasinated American presidents, as you see here - theshadowlands.net/jfk.htm. There are, as well, plenty of times when fate does interesting things in my own personal life. Also, there are many eyewitness reports of events that support Theistic ideas. For example, a book was written after studying the responces of people who were asked about the experience of dying, then being brought back to life (sorry, I don't remember the name; it's just a book my Math teacher once mentioned). The people rather consistently reported a bright light, and being reunited with a deceased relative, as well as watching themselves being brought back to life (which they didn't care to have done, as they were comfortable staying in death). More importantly than anything else, the morals He has taught His people still prove to be the most effective guidance the world has ever had. Funny how God gives us everything short of scientific proof that He exists. As I see it, He wants proof that His people can have faith, but still gives them a reason to have faith.

Beleive what you want to beleive. Just arguing about it only forces others to beleive in their own beliefs more. I will most likely be atheist for the rest of my life because of all the people who keep pushing religion on me. I do not like being forced into something, that is how I am. I have my own reasons why I don't beleive and if you want to call it denial fine, be that way.

I'm not sure what i believe. So I'm not sure if i want to believe the people who say God is a myth, or to believe the people who believe in him. And another thing, I don't know if Dinosaurs came first, or if Adam and Eve came first... Does that confuse anyone else? I'm Roman Catholic... if anyone needs to know.

Was a christian, always a christian. There has to be a god because think about it... This world was not made by accident, some big miracle had to have cause this, so of course there has to be 1! Plus, this world had to have begun at some time... Also, think about the dinosaurs. There once was only dinosaurs that ruled the world, but god thought that it wasnt a good idea and wiped them out. He then started with us and thinks this is how it should be. Once you think about it for about an hour, it all makes sense! ;D
oh yeah, when this world was made, how did the wildlife get here?

I think its a person who lost faith in their religion, in this case christianity/jewish, and then is convinced back into believing into it.
