I've tried dozens of times, without any success. I made this image below with Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 & it's a png. Could someone tell me how or make it transparent for me? The orange part is what I want transparent.

Actually, the image is transparent. The problem is, Internet Explorer is one of the only browsers that doesn't support transparent PNG images. It displays properly in Firefox. The only alternative is to save it as a transparent GIF. Note that GIF images cannot contain more than 256 colors. And JPG images will always be huge when converted to GIF or PNG.

*jaw drops to the floor* You mean it was transparent all along? So, you can see the background as transparent, instead of orange the way I do? I guess I'll make this a gif, then. Do you think this has more than 256 colors?

Do you think this has more than 256 colors? There's 7785 colors in the image. I tried to convert it to BMP and let my GIF program pick the most important colors and it did some strange black and white glitch looking thing to the image . The same program should be able to convert it to GIF though. I think the image was originally a JPG though. When an image is converted to JPG, it gets blended with added colors and blotches as part of the compression. The added colors and spots complicate things for other formats..

Well, I've given up on making that image transparent. BTW, I'm making a site from scratch, & I'm going to need all the help I can get. Here it is, but its not fully functional yet. ButterflyPenguin's Cocoon - Version 2.0 butterflypenguin.sphosting.com/home.htmlAny ideas, suggestions, donations (like fan stuff), tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Its a good start for a rouge site , but since I am so used to how I make my website design it doesn't really fit my style.
