I just want to know what everyones favorite types of music are, and what are some of your favorite bands?
My favorite types of music are Punk Rock and Ska, although I do like old school rap, and some old school hardcore (7 Seconds, Sick of it All).
Some of my favorite bands are The Living End, Thrice, The Aquabats, The Mad Caddies, Tiger Army, and My Chemical Romance. My ALL time favorite band would have to be The Blood Brothers though, they rock.

I love Linkin Park, and I listen to anything good that's on the radio(when it isn't commercials) like Green Day. I love good game soundtracks like Final Fantasy and Zelda. I sound so bad right now but I had the Sonic Heroes soundtrack for the longest time. I never switch CD's until I get truely sick of it.

I like jazz and old (50's, 60's, 70's) rock and roll. I also like a lot of game soundtracks, including Sonic, Zelda, Mega Man, and Gradius.
My favorite band is (are?) The Blues Brothers. I also like U2, sorta.

I don't have any favorite bands because I don't listen to music that much, and if I do it's usally on the radio and pretty mainstream. But I do like videogame music, some techno and rock, and a little metal if it isn't too hardcore. I also seem to like strange music, for example the soundtracks for Donnie Darko, Cube or any of David Firth's work (Salad Fingers etc.)

I listen to Rock/heavy metal, Bluegarss (I ACTUALLY DO), Soundscapes, Old School rap, and a few others.
Anyway, my favorite band though is Disturbed, and they're coming here to Fitchburg. ^^ I get to see them in September.
My favorite song though... I don't know. I like too many songs.

Favorite music? That's a lot for me. I like songs from anime. I listen to Yosuke Sakanou and TM Revolution. Then I listen to soundtracks, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Halo 2, I even listen to DDR music.
But I listen to stuff that you hear on the radio and such. Let's see, Boysetsfire is one of my favorite bands. But I like Alkaline Trio. Oh, and the Vandals. So I listen to just about anything. I'm not fond of rap though
By the way, is anyone going to go see the Video Games Live concert? I wish I could go.

Right now, I'm listening to (and lmao) to Stephen Lynch, a comedian who uses music for his skit. My favorite songs are either Superhero (some of it is made up on the spot with suggestions from the Audience), or Lullaby(Divorce Song). Just be forewarned that there is some foul language. The other thing that I listen to De temps en temps are these music parodies using "If I had a Million Dollars", and "Slide". nikon.bungie.org/misc/patriarch917_music/

I listen to all genres, except for acapella, gospel, Latin, and disco. I like to listen to some vintage rock & roll like Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, etc. Yes, I surprisingly like country. I dig Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Randy Travis, and Brad Paisley. I'm into rap as well. I like Eazy-E, Ice Cube, 50 Cent and more. I'm mostly into hard rock and metal. I'm extremely obsessed with thrash and death metal. Favorite bands include Goretorture, Atheist, Cynic, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Zyklon, At The Gates, Slayer, Kreator, Anthrax, and more.

All I can think about now is listening to the Vandals. You know, the first time I heard them, I was listening to the song: An Idea for A Movie.

The first Vandals song I ever heard was My Girlfriends Dead, and from then on I was hooked.
That VG concert is going to be in Detroit, which is only about an hour away from where I live. Some friends and I are going to go I think.
Trotim, the Donnie Darko soundtrack is awesome. A great movie too.

There's really only one thing in music that I cannot stand under any circumstances whatsoever, and that would be The Cranberries. I just can't handle listening to their vocalist for any amount of time that's longer than ten minutes. *shivers* Give me patriotic country any day, as long as I don't have to listen to them.
Right now, I've an Incubus obsession, as well as a deep love for the Broadway piece 'Close Every Door'. Love that song...

Ive never heard the Cranberries before, but maybe its best that I havent.
I havent heard Incubus latest stuff, but Fungus Amongus, Science, and Make Yourself are excellent CDs.

The Cranberries are actually not that bad, I used to like them... Now I'm more into stuff like Kasabian, Radiohead, Muse, umm.. DJ Shadow is a good one.

There was an amusing comment someone made on another board about Muse in relation to the fact that the singer breathes after pretty much every single line. After going back and listening, I realized it was true, and that I'd not noticed it before, for some reason. *blinks* Very interesting.

I really don't like that type of music.
I'm more of the person into Hard Rock and Metal. All of the alternitive rock just doesn't appeal to me. Everytime it comes on, I dunno the voices annoy me, and have to turn the channel.

Mmph. I can listen to hard rock and metal, but at a lower volume than most people do and for certain amounts of time. Too much kills my ears...

The Rage Beat Super Drive Smashing Blue Kounetsu Blood Zure Zure Naru Kisetsu Blind Game Again Sleepless Beauty Sweet Sweet Samba Spicy Marmalade Easy Action Yuutsu na Seven Days
^.^ that's only a part of a long list of gravitation songs. I mostly like the ones in there that were sung by Kotani Kinya. (sigh) it's too bad only a few of the songs were actually in the anime

I pretty much like all kinds of music except for country and Christian music. However, I find myself listening to more rock these days. Back then, I feel in love with dance music. Pretty much, I like alternative rock, classic rock, 90s era music, a few oldies, and a few dance songs along with hip-hop. My favorite groups are as follows: System Of A Down, Linkin Park, Metallica, Chevelle, Crossfade, Shinedown, Godsmack, Iio, Kylie Minogue, Darude, Collective Soul....
The list goes on and on, but I'll just put those down

The stereotypical Christian or just any and all Christian, no exceptions? 'Cos there are -lots- of different kinds of Christian music out there.

[glow=blue,2,300]I like most anything, save pop, rap, hip hop, and country. Old school rap and hip hop are alright, but the new stuff drives me nuts.
Generally, I have an attraction to game and anime soundtracks. I have an entire list of composers whose work I love x_o;
Those composers include (but are not limited to): Nobuo Uematsu Michiru Yamane Michiru Oshima Yasunori Mitsuda Yoko Kanno Yoko Shimomura Noriyuki Iwadare Taku Iwasaki Tsuneo Imahori Taro Iwashiro (Whoever did the music for Genji: Dawn of the Samurai) Motoi Sakuraba Shiro Hamaguchi[/glow]

I like stuff by Suiteisho Jo, Nami Tamaki, Asian Kung Fu Generation, L'Arc en Ciel, Tokuyama Hidenori, Yoko Ishida, Yosuke Sakanou, Miyamoto Shunichi.... and uh... ok, there's a lot. Oh! But I can't forget Maaya Sakamoto!

Various Rock Japanese Pop Video Game Soundtrack 80-90s Rave-Trance-System misc (rap genres which I know near nothing about)
As for some of the many names that pop up in playlist a lot: Nightwish, Motoi Sakuraba, Disturbed, Blind Guardian, Tristania, Scorpions, Ayumi Hamasaki, Rammstein, In Flames, Coal Chamber, Atmosphere, Cradle of Filth, you get the point. >.>

I do find parra parra captivating... but really the main thing that hooked me was Miyu and Yamato's relationship. I watch episode 25 quite often ^^ hands down my favorite part of the series and one thats so intense with emotions I can't help but feel moved. ...... subtle way of saying it got some tears outta me >.>
