Old school games huh...? Well, in terms of gaming im kinda new school, but i've dipped into old school here and there unlike a lot of new generation gamers.
Think my favorite old school game was.... Mario Bros. 3
The battle game alone had me addicted. People would play with me, but I had a never ending lust for more.... and most people couldn't understand or keep up with it ; ;
But the item list, world jumping, mini-games, and battleship stages really made it memorial for me besides the 2 player battle.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Although, Donkey Kong Country 2 has had the best old school music track period out of the stuff i've played IMO. >.>

Although, Donkey Kong Country 2 has had the best old school music track period out of the stuff i've played IMO. OMG I thought I was the only one who thought that. I tell everyone that King K Rool's final Boss Battle owns all 16 bit gaming music. Rare knows how to do music, from Donkey Kong Country to Perfect Dark Zero.

Yeah, Rare does have some serious sound skills >.< I thought I was the only freak tracking down all the tracks from DKC1 & 2 (mostly 2). King K. Rool track rocks the hell out ^^ one of the coolest boss themes of all time. Really made that battle not a thing of panic, but more.... enjoying the moment.

Panic Puppet Zone, The Temple (level 5) from El Viento, Seascape from Chaotix, Wood/Metropolis Zone from Sonic 2 Beta, Star Light Zone, Doomsday Zone for Sonic 3 and the Fight Theme from Mike Tyson's Punch Out! (Or just Punch Out!), those are my favourites.

After playing Mega Man Anniversary Collection a million times over the summer, I'm happy to say that I love the music in pretty much all the Mega Man games for the NES. It sounds totally awesome.

I guess Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2, and Knuckles Chaotix music is all very well done.
